Reopened about 3 months ago and was not disappointed. The food was great (especially the Parador salad with beetroot icecream). The staff were attentive and very helpful. It is now our new favourite place to go. We had lamb chops but started eating before we remembered to take a picture but honestly the plate was full.

Muy buenas carnes a la brasa salvo las costillas que indican que es a la brasa pero que son al horno. Muy atentos a la hora de temas alérgicos, pedimos una ensalada y preguntamos si tenia queso nos comentaron que si y por seguridad pedimos otra diferente y se preocuparon de comentar los ingredientes que llevaban. La ensalada muy rica fue la exótica y estaba muy buena salvo el pollo empanado que estaba súper seco. Además pedimos pan y no lo trajeron. Lo que no nos moló es que siendo sábado no tenían menú fin de semana pero a los lugareños si les servía “menú del día” una pena…… en fin. Venimos a Galera (nuestros abuelos tienen casa) y una lástima porque la primera vez fue muy bien pero esta Segunda una pena. Me ofrecieron cambiarme el plato pero era tarde. Los camareros y el servicio muy bien. Ojo los fines de semana no hay menú es a la carta….. bueno si eres de fuera claro.

No volveré. Íbamos pensando en comernos una lata de cordero y en cuanto llegamos nos dicen que no la pueden hacer porque la carne que tienen no es de paletilla o de la mejor parte del cordero para hacerla, con lo cual nos ofrecen comer a la carta. Para empezar nos presentan una simple hoja con un menú del día no nos traen ni siquiera una carta y luego cuando nos traen la cuenta, nos cobran 60 € por un chuletón de vaca que por muy especial que sea y la vaca sea criada entre algodones no es ni mucho menos lo que cobran en otro sitio de Granada por un chuletón mucho mejor. Las patatas a lo pobre de la paletilla de cordero estaban crudas, no me las he podido comer. Al final me he comido unas patatas fritas que me han pasado de otro plato. La verdad es que es un sitio para no volver. No vendré ni aunque me inviten. Nada recomendable. Yo también me equivoco.

Íbamos pensando en comernos una lata de cordero y en cuanto llegamos nos dicen que no la pueden hacer porque la carne que tienen no es de paletilla o de la mejor parte del cordero para hacerla, con lo cual nos ofrecen comer a la carta. 04/10/25 Another visit and a spectacular meal again. There were loads of additional things mentioned that were not on the menu, so don't assume that the menu (carta) is all that they have. I love the fact that they have bao and kimchi, as well as gyozas, making an appearance on the specials menu.

Great service by Juana and José, with the chef also making an appearance and clearly proud of what he does. I thought it was quite a testament to them to see an extremely well known and experienced chef/restauranter from Huéscar eating there.

Despite being too full for desert, just one look at the delicious cake/desert display cabinet was enough to convince us. Well that, as well as the long list of things not on the menu that Juana went through.

We were so full from lunch there that we didn't eat a single thing for the rest of the day.

06/04/25 Another visit today, requested by friends who loved El Parador on a previous visit. As with last time, our food was delicious. Our friend said that the ribs he ordered were just as good as previously. My friend & I shared a fantastic Caesar Salad and the most incredible cod dish: 'Bacalao confitado con alioli de manzana verde, muselina de pimiento rojo y berenjena asado'. The cod was beyond anything we could have expected; sublime flavours of various ingredients that just made every mouthful a taste sensation, all beautifully presented. Service too was as usual very professional and friendly. We will be back!! As a side note, it was really nice to be asked if we wanted bread. We did. So it was no surprise to be charged for it, as many places are doing now. Well done El Parador, you are an example to all. We've been here many times and love it. Today's Menu del Día was excellent. Really tasty food, served piping hot and with a great variety of options. Following a shared salad before the meal, I loved my 'Estofado con albóndigas' (hotpot/stew with meatballs), followed by Costillas con salsa barbacoa (BBQ ribs), and a divine creamy lemon desert. We went here again at the request of our friends as they enjoyed the food last time (not Galera locals). Very good friendly service and a good selection to choose from on the menu. Again the food we ordered was well presented and delicious. Now due to the cost of living and increasing costs there is a charge for the bread but you are asked beforehand if you would like bread. How often do we see untouched bread on the table? I don't have a problem with paying and aware of the cost. There is plenty of seating inside the restaurant and some outside in the shade. Plenty of free parking spaces with some in the shade. The restaurant is located just outside Galera on the main road and near the Repsol garage. Typically Spanish...

We have eaten Menu del Dia three times recently and all have been very good. Today, however, was not a good experience. 1st course was OK but 2nd courses were either too salty or over cooked. To top this off one of the desserts was also over cooked. Complaints were made to staff that the salty food verged on the inedible. We were informed that this was down to a new chef who had only been there three days. Although we were offered an alternative dessert for the two bad ones the food was not to the standard of previous visits. No offer to reduce prices was made although the waitress did apologise and say that the kitchen was informed of the situation. Will now think twice before...
