Molí de vent — Restaurant in Garriguella

We visited Moli de Vent for the first the last week, while on holiday visiting my in laws nearby. I spent most of the time admiring the beautiful touches on the walls. It quickly became busy (booking is essential) but it didn't feel busy, it felt very relaxed and because the tables were sensibly spaced out no diner would have been disturbed by others. The food was delicious, more of a rustic feel than fine dining but none-the less felt like a very special dining experience. Wir gehen nun schon über viele Jahre in der "Mühle" essen, weil die Qualität immer konstant gut ist und die Gerichte abwechslungsreich sind. Die Küche ist ein Mix aus katalanischer und argentinischer Küche, mit leicht wechselndem Umfang. Die "jefa" ist vom Ort und Ihr Mann ursprünglich aus Argentinien. Er ist Koch und Grillmeister in Personalunion und er denkt sich immer wieder leckere Desserts aus, so wie dieses Jahr die sensationelle "tarta al whiskey" Whiskeytorte. Besonders gut sind die Menüs, die im Sommer Juli/August am Abend draußen auf der Terrasse eingenommen werden. Der Raum im inneren der Mühle wird klimatisiert, wenn es zu heiß wird. Das Standardmenü umfasst 2 Gerichte, Dessert, Café, sowie Wein & Wasser. Softdrinks und Schnaps bezahlt man extra. In der Sommersaison ist eine Reservierung zu empfehlen. Es gibt Speisekarten in Catala, Espanyol, Deutsch, English.
