When I review I do try to be as honest and fair as possible, so here I've tried to balance our experience.
This is a really nice Spanish fish restaurant set on the main road at Garrucha, which is of course a very traditional working Spanish port. Very little English is spoken and I have to apologise as I barely get by with Spanish. Part of the seating is roadside where we sat but inside is clean and tidy and popular with locals. We don't eat much fish so chose one chicken with chips and one garlic pork with fries. The pork was overcooked, dry and poorly presented without any signs of salad or vegetables. The chicken fillet was also dry again without veg or salad even to garnish. The chicken did come with a quarter of lemon!
When we sat down we were presented with bread and garlic mayonnaise which we didn't order, want or eat but were still charged for anyway. I guess you must stop it being put down on the table for it not to be charged. We found the staff a little frustrated by our lack of Spanish and vice versa, and they seemed quite abrupt. This restaurant is nice and I'm sure the fish is amazing and if you speak Spanish then that's a real bonus. For us the 2 star is because our meat dishes were poor quality and service left us uncomfortable. Do try though if...
Read moreAVOID THIS PLACE! This is the first review I’ve ever actually left on a business, but do not want anyone else to make the same mistake we did.
We ordered a variety of starters and mains. Majority of it was inedible, didn’t seem like fresh produce at all. (We have all had a dodgy stomach this morning). We were brought out the wrong dish for one of the mains. Service was really poor. No water was provided for the table. No one came and asked how the food was or if we even wanted refreshments. The waiter on shift who was a middle aged bald man, was very friendly however was more interested in spending his evening, arms folded watching the TV.
Every table had a reserved sign on it when we booked. Every table was empty for the duration of our evening. Hook, line and sinker!
Another thing to note, a fisherman walked past during our meal and started shouting at the waiters and pointing at our food. We can only assume this means that it’s known that the produce is of...
Read moreCalidad media/baja a precios no acordes.
