Restaurant EUROPA Barbacoa — Restaurant in Gavà

Enjoyed a day trip to Gava from Barcelona. 1 hour in the L94 bus that dropped me in front of the restaurant. We had called two hours before to make reservations in the terrace. Loved the meal as always, we ordered Calçots which were amazing! Fresh toasted bread that came with tomatoes and garlic to spread ourselves. We also had a personal “Parrillada Argentina” that we split. It has rabbit, lamb, and chicken soo good! Also a jar of sangria that was really tasteful and strong. Lastly a chocolate lava cake with ice cream that’s always my favorite.

I love eating here and then walking down 10 minutes to the beach which is always so empty, clean, and chill. Refreshing difference from Barceloneta beach.

Service is warm, extremely fast, and kind.

In total it was €56 between two. Which for such a good meal and lots of food it’s really not bad!

Overpriced We went to the EUROPA Barbacoa Restaurant to have a calçotada with the company. There were different menu options. I chose the Calçotada Menu for €36. Starters: 4 olives and three slices of fuet from the supermarket (literal). We were told we could have as many calçots as we wanted. Far from it, we got 10 per person and that was it. However, they were tasty. For the main course, there was a mixed grill. Very modest: a small sausage, a piece of chicken, a piece of lamb, and a bit of rabbit. Very little quantity and quality, rather meager. The wine... with soda. The place was nice, with a spacious indoor and outdoor area. The staff was efficient, though friendly. Doy una estrella porque no se puede dar menos. El pasado sábado estuvimos en este restaurante para celebrar un cumpleaños donde éramos más de 30 comensales. Llegamos sedientos y pedimos amablemente si nos podían traer una botella de agua. Los camareros nos ignoraban. Después de 1 HORA esperando a que alguien se dignara a venir a la mesa, decidimos ir a la barra a pedir algo de beber (estábamos en una sala con carpa con una ventilación pésima en pleno mes de julio) . Llegamos a la barra y nos dicen que nos sentemos. Les pedimos por favo algo de beber porque nos estámos desmayando y llevábamos más de una hora esperando. Nos mandan a la mesa. Un cuarto de hora después, al fin, nos toman nota para las bebidas!!! Una media hora después ( ya llevábamos 2 horas en el restaurante) nos toman nota para comer!! Tardan una hora para traer cada plato y todo con malas maneras. Los camareros con malas maneras. Higiene deja mucho que desear: todos los camareros sudaban muchísimo mientras te traían tu comida: Horrible. Cuando aún no habían traído todos los postres, nos apagan el aire acondicionado para echarnos (todo ésto ya eran las 18.30 de la tarde y habíamos llegado a las 14h). Por último, 4 personas más y yo, nos teníamos que ir. Fuimos a pagar nuestra parte a la barra puesto que no nos querían cobrar en la mesa. La persona que nos atiende en la barra nos dice que no quiere fraccionar la cuenta, que luego siempre falta algo. Le decimos que nos hemos tomado 5 menús y 2 sangrías y nada más. Insiste con malas maneras en que paguemos con los demás. Al final conseguimos que nos haga la cuenta y, mientras pagamos, va pegando golpes com el datáfono. Obviamente, no hemos dejado propina.0 amabilidad....
