PICOFINO — Restaurant in Guardamar del Segura

It is actually lovely to see a restaurant and bar that has survived in this part of the town as it is nicely located and was much needed. It looks very pretty too.

The tapas here are lovely and the staff very attentive. We had croquetas and pan y alioli which were delicious, but we will be revisiting to sample more. We have had a very nice sangria here before too, it tasted home made rather than one of those "out of a carton" ones.

It is good to see that you get a little something, crisps or nuts with your drinks too as many places seem to have stopped giving you something to nibble on with your drink, and it is always appreciated, just like the biscuit is if you order a coffee.

I first visited Picofino on my own and was immediately impressed. I started with a couple of tapas as a starter, followed by a delicious salmon with mango sauce, and finished with their homemade cheesecake for dessert. The restaurant itself is beautifully and elegantly designed, creating a warm yet stylish atmosphere. Service was excellent – attentive, friendly, and with spot-on recommendations.

Before writing this review, I wanted to return once more, this time with my partner – and once again, Picofino delivered at the highest level. We enjoyed a selection of tasty tapas, a perfectly cooked lamb crown, and Iberico secreto, followed by another round of their amazing homemade desserts.

A fantastic find in a more quiet part of town. Picofino offers a diverse menu of food prepared to a high quality, a large step above many of the more casual food establishments of the town. The roast pork with red fruit reduction was A+

The wine list is also very strong, we enjoyed a beautiful Albarino, served chilled to perfection.

The location is a calm spot, with a river view, a short 5 minute cycle to the marina.
