Sorry buts it’s not 5.0 ⭐️. As you site suggests. It’s funny how first impressions can colour a dining experience. When I enquired if they had a table for two I was greeted with “Just sit where you like”. Possibly helpful or just dismissive. It was not helped a few seconds later by being barked at by a rather large and aggressive looking dog all be it chained to the wall. I’m glad I’m not normally afraid of dogs. We were given menues and it was pointed out perhaps in an attempt to help the hapless tourist that the English words were English and there was also German and Spanish. We started with garlic prawns to share and although they were not plentiful they had been deveined, which my wife appreciates, and were tasty. I had the chicken escalope with oregano sprinkled chips, coleslaw and tomato. Nice food, hot and tasty. My wife was a bit disappointed by her spaghetti bolognese which she thought was tagliatelle rather than spaghetti, lacked any wine with very little tomato sauce and tasted like it was made with pork rather than beef. Still it tasted OK. Pudding consisted of vanilla ice cream, espresso and the largest shot of amaretto I have had in a long time. 2 scoops of ice cream and slightly less alcohol might have improved the dessert. We both had two glasses of the house white wine which was good. Service was OK although taking away one dinners completed plate before the other dinner had finished is never a good idea and failing to bring the bill after being asked does not provide a satisfactory end to the meal. It is also a bit off putting when a rather dispirited looking chef sits down at a table nearby at the end of the evening accompanied by a bottle of red wine. The best part of the meal was the price. Three courses and drinks for €64 for two of us was worth it. One final point. It might have been nice if any member of the staff had enquired if we were enjoying our meal at some point during the evening. I hate being so critical but I believe this is an honest account of our experience and maybe the points I’ve mentioned might make it...

Désastreux comme l'accueil fermés comme une porte de prison à fuir au plus vite , passé a 15h pour prendre juste un dessert,un jus de fruits ou un café .une.femme assise semblant être la patronne nous regarde d'un mauvais regard ..non souriante .et pas très sympathique fermée comme une.porte de prison .non avenante en tout cas !!! dès que nous arrivons sur la terrasse elle prévient un homme a l'intérieur qui très vite nous dit que le restaurant est fermé (nous ne voulions. par respect de la fermeture de l'établissement a 15h30 juste prendre un verre ou un café avec une patisserie 'un discours pas très sympathique ...nous as été répondu déçu 'nous savons que de l'autre côté de la rue il y a un autre établissement de restauration n'ayant plus de place car beaucoup de voitures ..nous demandons gentillement l'autorisation à laisser notre voiture sur le parking privé de l'établissement (seule une voiture y était .. Un Non affirmatif nous à ete assigné .digne d'un allemand en colère .. (Si ce n'est pas de la mauvaise volonté c est en tout en façon de faire fuir le futur client ,en quoi cela le dérangeait que l'on laisse notre véhicule ) Je comprends.mieux.pourquoi le restaurant de l'autre côté de'la route est plein et bien plus accessible et accueillant ... Je suis auditeur public privé client mystère en France (preuve a l'appui).je déconseille à 100% ce restaurant au moins.pour son accueil . Être restaurateur(trice) n'est pas que être cuisinier s'est aussi savoir accueillir aussi un public même quand l'établissement n'est accessible,une parole sympa et un sourire ne.coute rien .. je suis en contact tous les jours avec du public je ne les envoies pas pour autant bouillir lorsque malgré l'heure.meme.bien.au delà.des instants de.ma.fonction .... D'ailleurs.l'arrogance de la réponse faite le prouve . Plusieurs commentaires 'néfastes vous feront peut être comprendre de changer votre manière d'accueillir du public ...une honte de recevoir des futurs clients de.la.sorte .

J'ai mis une étoile car pas le choix ,devrait y avoir des sous étoiles réservées.au avis négatif .. Revoyez votre façon de recevoir ,ne soyez pas hautain et pour votre gouverne.nous n'étions pas en.vacances sommes partiellement résidents...

Immer, wenn ich auf der Insel bin - nun Ostern zum dritten Mal seit 2019 - versuche ich so oft als möglich, im Don Quijote einzukehren, schlicht, weil es eine besonders schöne, liebevoll gepflegte Lokalität - MIT HERAUSRAGENDER KÜCHE ist! Von den Coteletas vom Iberico träume ich heute noch - diesmal haben uns die geschmorten Bäckchen vom Iberico fast dazu hingerissen, die letzten Reste Sauce vom Teller zu lecken, fast. Zum Hähnchenfilet mit der besten Gorgonzolasauce ever gab es im übrigen wunderbar knusprige, fein gewürzte Pommes.

Wer hier in den Rezessionen von ‚blassen Tiefkühlpommes‘ schreibt - kann nicht im Don Quijote gewesen sein. Das grenzt an böswillige Verleumdung.

Die Qualität der Speisen setzt sich über die ganze Speisekarte durch - die Desserts sind ebenso hinreißend. Leider haben wir es diesmal nur zweimal dorthin geschafft, ich wählte zweimal das „Gofioeis mit heißen Maulbeeren“ (vielleicht gibt’s ja mal wieder Gofio-Mousse??) die Begleitung den Käsekuchen mit Mango und 1x die köstliche Bienmesabe, Mandelcreme, leider kein Foto vorhanden. Der Mojito war ebenso nach unserem Geschmack, wie auch die leckeren Tapas - da hat der „Deutsche Wurstsalat“ amüsiert - den gibt‘s, weil die Spanier:innen den so mögen!

Reizend war auch, dass die Wirtin Stephanie mir extra Bescheid gab, dass nun mein Eis auf heißen Beeren serviert sei - weil ich da gerade in der windgeschützten Raucherecke mit Ausblick saß. Und dass sie mir Ableger und Kaktusbabies schenkte, nachdem ich die bezaubernde Bepflanzung und Gestaltung der Terrasse und der Beete drumherum bewundert habe. (Schon eingepflanzt, habe noch Erde/Picon nach Anweisung mitgenommen, wenn‘s hier nur nicht zu kalt ist.)

Das ist das am Don Quijote - es ist so stimmig in sich - die Lage, die schöne Örtlichkeit - liebevolle, kreative, inspirierte Gestaltung von Terrasse und Innenraum, die bewusste, offensichtliche Qualität der Küche, und zugewandte Gastgeber und Gastgeberin (Koch/Wirt/Wirtin) - da denkt sich jemand was bei dem, was er/sie tun und tun dies gerne und gut - das ist selten. Und deswegen besonders und wir werden immer wieder kommen, sehr gerne. Und...
