I recently had the pleasure of dining at La Maresia, a charming family-owned restaurant located in Orzola, Lanzarote. Finding a restaurant in touristy areas that truly cares about the quality of their dishes can be a challenge, but not in this case.

Every dish on their menu was exceptional, with incredibly fresh seafood and fish prepared using traditional recipes with a contemporary twist. The flavors were exquisite, and each plate was beautifully presented. It’s evident that the chefs put great care and attention into their culinary creations.

What also sets La Maresia apart is the outstanding service and the warm hospitality of the staff. The waiters welcomed us with a smile and provided helpful recommendations from the daily specials. They were attentive throughout the meal, ensuring that every need was met.

This is an AMAZING place. The food is amazing, we loved absolutely everything. Fish is very fresh, seafood as well. We were staying in Orzola for 4 days and went there two of the three nights we stayed in the village (the first night we couldn't go because they close the kitchen at 8pm! take note!) If you really want to enjoy amazing food and not get caught in a tourist trap, go there. I am Spanish myself and was very impressed! 3 of us arrived without a booking and were seated immediately and were attended to promptly. I asked the waiter for his recommendation, ordered the tuna bonbon and it was delicious. However, my wife and son ordered a simple chicken breast that was very salty and came with potatoes that were salty. I understand that it is a fish restaurant so I would recommend ordering a fish dish if you visit. I would give my food 4.5 but my rating is taking into account the experience as a family and 2 of us left unsatisfied...
