Country ribs albir — Restaurant in l'Alfàs del Pi

Seated quickly & drinks order taken not long after, that was the only good points about the visit. Sat waiting for about 30 mins, still no one came to take our order, it’s wasn’t easy getting anyones attention. Finally managed to ask if it was possible to order, for them to say ‘oh has no one taken it yet’ I replied with ‘no we’ve just been sat waiting’ was told someone will be over. Waited about 5 mins & someone finally came, not before serving everyone else who had came in a while after us, which added to the disappointment. Things just got even worse, ordered 1 started & 2 mains, waited about 1hr 30 & still NOTHING, to be sat watching people who had come in 30/45mins AFTER us sat eating full large meals. Again had to ask where our food was, to be replied with ‘have we not had anything yet’ I said ‘no absolutely nothing’ ‘Ok I will check for you’ never bothered to come back, finally after a further 10/15mins the starter AND the mains came out TOGETHER, when I commented ‘that’s a starter’ he says ‘yes that’s what they do’ I laughed and said ‘no it’s not as I’ve watched everyone else eat their starters & mains come out after’. So me and my bf decided to go sit down and have some food at the Country Ribs after a evening walk along the beautiful beach promenade of Albir. Once we found a spot, sat down and started looking through the menu, suddenly the waiter just popped up next to our table as s genie in a magic bottle, but there was nothing magic about this guy. For a quick second he seemed to have heard my bf and I reading the main course and also as we was looking at the dessert menu. He interrupted in a sertain tone "SO ARE WE GOING STRAIGHT TO DESSERT OR ARE WE HAVING DINNER!? THE KITCHEN IS CLOSING SOON SO WE SHOULD DO THIS NOW! This approach was direct! Hostile! It was without any smile or any other service intended gesture. We gave him our order, he took notes then took off. He served us our food, but nothing like "enjoy" or anything like that. We had our dinner. We ate and it was then time to pay. Again. Same guy. No smiles, didn't even look at us. Just a bad vibe! that same aura that just made us wanna pay and leave as quick as possible. Uhm.. that was definately an experience. Not necessarily one i would recommend though.

The place initially looked great. Typical western theemed place. You dont enter and expect the meal of your life. The menu was organized in sections. Easy to understand. Centered around.. well.. the type of meat. As expected.

Our primary waiter was... not what I would describe as either enthusiastic nor friendly. No eyecontact. Sighing. Seemed really annoyed to be there. Hope the waiter finds their purpose in life, because this was obviously not it. The other one, who served our drinks, had humour, though. Pleasant and funny for the whole thirty seconds the interaction lasted.

We had a childrens burger menu, beef baby back ribs and a sirloin.

I should've taken a picture of the ribs. They looked great, as opposed to the rest. A giant beef that came off the bones like hot butter. Shiny. Great for photo.

The food was exceptionally dull. Meat felt like it had been frozen. No flavor and texture quite odd. Fries were dry. One sauce reminded me of tasteless leftover frying oil. Even the aioli was off.
