Do not visit! We were given a tiny portion that four bites was finished- I was so disappointed. When I told the waitress about the very disappointing portion (I love my food being Spanish and expect a good sized portion) she told the Head Chef who did NOTHING! He didn’t offer me any extra or even come to see us to see if we would like anything else; my friends were also still hungry. Then the waitresses acted as if they disliked us but the bare minimum of going to a restaurant is getting enough food- especially at €16 for a plate of pasta. They didn’t even use real parmagiano- just Spanish hard cheese. When we left I said how sad and hungry we were and asked why he hadn’t offered us anything she finally offered us a limoncello but by this point we’d had enough and left. I felt very sad as I don’t normally complain but the fact they just didn’t even care made us even more upset. I left hungry and spent €60! Please don’t visit…
Edit: the owner has replied to me in another consistently rude way and I am unable to respond to their comment. So you know dueño, I had a tiny sized portion of tagliatelle Al tartufo- being also half Italian I know my food and the tiny portion I was given was offensive. My sister also left hungry after her plate of pasta. Your food is not enough and the staff were rude when I said something. That speaks for itself! Maybe you should actually be present in the restaurant like any other normal owner to see for yourself. In big cities you get a bigger portion with high quality parmigiano- not what I experienced last night. The only reason I’m complaining is because of your staff’s rude attitude but I see that you (as the owner) are also the same. Shame on you as without clients you don’t have a business; not even an...
Read moreCute location but food was mediocre and service was terrible and slow. Went here a few nights ago. We decided to try Spanish time at 9pm with our two kids (teen and preteen). There were plenty of empty tables. We were hungry. They took 30 minutes to bring bread. It was very hot and we drank through our water quickly. Took about 50 minutes to bring lasagne, salmon tartare, and two pasta dishes. We think they must have lost our not placed our order. We saw other tables around us getting their stuff faster. We asked 2-3 times, and they said it would be soon. The food was so-so. Pasta with seafood did not taste like much. Carbonara tasted like it was out of a jar. Salmon tartar was good and lasagna was good but too small for hungry kid. No way this took close to an hour! No real apologies or attempt to make us more comfortable during this whole time… we ate in about 10 minutes and paid and GTFO. It’s the one place we ate in Albir that we “don’t...
Read moreCosy place with a lot of potential. We have been here two times and have had a mediocre experience twice.
The first time we ordered AFFETTATI/COLD MEAT and we were not impressed by the meat and the charcoaled bread was a bit dry.
The second time we ordered a Parma pizza, TAGLIATA DI FILETTO/Italian style beef and a salad called INSALATA DI POLLO E GUANCIALE. The pizza had the meat under the cheese so it felt cooked and not like Italian style pizza where you put the ham on top. We also suspect it was not Parma ham, but we could not determine if it was Parma cooked under the cheese or just normal ham. The chopped up beef was undercooked and almost raw when we ordered well done. The salad was very big with a lot of tasty salad, but less would be more here. Also it had a lot if balsamico so serving it without balsamico when there is balsamico on the table would be preffered.
Just small details...
