Cafè Catalunya Armentera — Restaurant in l'Armentera

We had walked by this place earlier in the tiny town of L'Armentera. Our friend, Jordi, had recommended it so we decided to give it a try for lunch. A fixed price lunch of 16.50 was a bargain for the food that we were served. Every dish was spectacular from the garlic/potato appetizer to the low temperature cod cooked over fresh vegetables to the cream catalunya with vanilla. Got to watch a couple of kids playing in the square, while the locals came in for their coffee or beer on a regular basis. It was one of the best and most authentic meals we have had in Spain so far. Exceptional, was recommended by some people we met in L'Escala and it did not disappoint. We were three people for lunch on Sunday and every course was better than the previous and exceeded our expectations. Probably the best meal that we have had in the past...

La varietat d'hamburgueses de la casa estan tremendes i molt ben executades, la carta perfecta, però és amb el pastís de formatge casolà on les meves glàndules salivars esclaten abans de tastar-lo i la barbeta em tremola compulsivament a joc amb el suau llagrimeig dels meus ulls, és per això que cada cop que vinc NECESSITO tastar-lo de nou .....
