I recently had the pleasure of dining at an Ecuadorian restaurant, and I must say, the experience was absolutely incredible. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality that made me feel right at home.

The service was exceptional—the staff member went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met and that I felt comfortable throughout the meal. It was clear they took immense pride in both the food and the experience they were creating for their guests.

The food itself was phenomenal, bursting with authentic flavors that transported me straight to Ecuador. Every dish was prepared with care and attention to detail, showcasing the rich culinary traditions of the country.

What truly stood out, though, was the feeling of being truly cared for. This wasn’t just a meal; it was a warm, welcoming experience that left me feeling valued as a guest.

My daughter and I wanted to try this place so bad but when we walked in there was no one to greet us. Eventually we sat at an open table. A man came out, no greeting, just told us we couldn't sit at the table because it was for 5 and it was 3 of us. We said ok and figured we would be seated elsewhere when the man asked us if we had a reservation. We said no because there was no indication we needed one. We told him we called repeatedly yesterday and he said they were out tending to his wife's medical needs. All that being said, he was not willing to seat us. He didn't offer us any options for future open reservations. None of it made sense. Why tell us we can't sit at one table because there are 3 of us if the issue is that we don't have a reservation? On to the next seafood...

Fuimos a el Bar La Perla, por la insistencia de mi hermano en que lo conociéramos y disfrutásemos de sus diversas tapas, siendo su especialidad el marisco y pescado de primerísima calidad (según mi hermano claro está). Situado justo al lado del Metro de Santa Eulalia L1, me encontré tras unos minutos andando en la puerta del Bar en cuestión. Decir de la misma que si no es porque mi hermano lo conocía, hubiera pasado sin pena ni gloria delante de su puerta, sin tan siquiera haberme percatado de que aquello era un Bar Restaurante, pero afortunadamente para todos nosotros. Mi hermano sabía muy bien donde nos llevaba. Entrar en el Bar Perla, es como entrar en una Máquina del Tiempo y retroceder 50 años del tirón. O incluso entrar dentro de uno de los capítulos de las primeras temporadas de "Cuentame". Te entra un poco de terror por lo que ves a tu alrededor, pues es un Bar muy pequeñito y francamente, desde que "Franco" era Corneta, que no han hecho reformas dentro del mismo. Pero vamos a lo importante, jamás en mí vida repito JAMÁS he estado en un Restaurante que siendo tan pequeño de tamaño, te hacen sentir tan Grande dentro de el mismo. Las Tapas son Excelentes, tanto de Calidad como de Cantidad (publico fotos de las mismas). Manolo que es como se llama el propietario, camarero y cocinero es una Máquina. Una persona singular, pero al fin y al cabo, quien no es un poco singular en esta vida? (y quién no lo sea, es porque no sabe disfrutar de la vida que le ha tocado vivir). Simplemente os diré que volveré cuando haya acabado de hacer la digestión de todo lo que me he comido, que será dentro de 3 o 4 días (jijiji). Nunca pongo 5 Estrellas, pues me considero una persona muy crítica y esta vez se lo hubiera puesto, dado que la atención, la calidad y el precio de todo era más que suficiente para ello. Lamentablente el Bar considero que tiene un Gran fallo y es por lo único que no le pondré las 5 Estrellas. A día de hoy un bar SI o SI, debe tener datáfono para que sus clientes tengan la comodidad de poder pagar con tarjeta y no tener que ir con dinero encima. Pero por lo demás, un bar al que sin lugar a dudas volveré. Al fin y al Cabo, que puedes opinar de malo de alguien que con 60 años y llevando el solamente todo su Bar, desde hace 30 años.
