My party of four had an thoroughly delightful meal here on a Sunday afternoon. As reported in other reviews, the food is delciious and the staff is on-point helpfulness, subdued friendliness, and well-mannered service. The sangria is tasty and effective, properly strong without being cloyingly sweet. We started with a salad which we shared and was more than sufficient for the four of us, a delightful combination of tastes and textures including greens, goat cheese, seeds, black currants, and a touch of balsamic reduction. That was followed by a savory paella mixta which had abundant seafood (no mussles) and rabbit. Very tasty and if it weren't so, we would not have been able to finish the dish. After a proper amount of time for that to settle, we enjoyed postres. The profiteroles which are made into a cake is out-of-this-world delicious. I like this place, ok its a bit out of the way for us. But they are always happy to see you. Its like stepping back in time, typically Spanish and the food, well its always been good. Went in for an evening beer last week and had a couple of plates of Tapa, the fish was good, nice and fresh. And the liver in tomato with onions was very tender. Ik had de entrecote met pepersaus, deze was heel lekker. Bij op mijn bord lag ook frietjes, aardbei, appelsien, munt, gegrilde tomaat en gestoomde brocolli. Het fruit en de munt hoorden er voor mij niet bij. De frietjes waren gewoon, niet slecht, maar ook niet dat ik er meer van wou. Misschien verwacht in als Belg teveel van frietjes.

Daarna had ik verse ananas, deze was lekker en leuk geserveerd.

De bediening was heel vriendelijk en behulpzaam om dingen op de kaart uit te leggen in Spaans en beetje Engels. Later als we naar buiten gingen hoorde ik dat een van de obers Nederlandstalig was, was wel grappig dat we het de hele avond het moeilijkste met hem hadden kunnen communiceren:-) hij had zo zijn best gedaan om duidelijk te zijn in andere talen, maar hij had gewoon zijn moedertaal kunnen spreken.

Het interieur is wat verouderd.

Pluspunt: parking aan de deur.

De kern van het gerecht is in prijs-kwaliteit verhouding, maar voor de totaal ervaring van een etentje buitenshuis zijn er betere alternatieven in de omgeving, alleen is dan vaak parking een probleem.

Ik ga er waarschijnlijk nog eens terug als ik snel ergens iets wil eten, maar voor een ontspannen avond...
