Plató Bar Restaurant | Barruera — Restaurant in la Vall de Boí

There's no such thing as a cheap set menu in all of the Vall de Boí during the holiday periods, but this place comes close. Additionslly, the quality and quantity of food offered here is excellent. In fact, my partner and I decided to come here twice during our stay in the valley.

It's unfortunate that on our second visit our impression of the service soured. The option of fruit was part of the menu. We asked for melon, but were told it was unavailable. We speak a bit of Spanish, but figuring out what the friendly waitress said about the dishes was just out of our reach.

The result of our language barrier was a pleasant surprise primero and a medium segundo we had to pay extra for, which we were not told.

Fuimos a primera hora a por unos bocadillos. Nos atendieron perfectamente, los bocadillos estaban geniales y a muy buen precio. Como nos atendieron tan bien por la mañana esa misma noche decidimos volver a tomar una copa, nos atendió un chaval joven muy agradable, pero en vez de prepararnos las copas él, salió un señor mayor y grandote. Le pedí, por favor, que a mi copa le echara un poco más (no me habría importado pagar un suplemento por ello), el señor de muy buenos modales me dijo que si, que no había problema. Preparó la copa de mi esposa a la vista, y la mía detrás de la barra, escondiendose, cuando el chico joven se dio cuenta que las 2 copas estaban igual (bastante cortas) fue a echar más a una de ellas, a lo que el señor le dijo que si es que había fumado, que ya había echado más en una de ellas (falso, ya que aunque se quiso esconder vimos perfectamente que no fue así). Las copas a 9€ cada una y no es capaz de cargar un poquito más una(repito, que si me hubiera pedido un suplemento por ello lo habría abonado). En definitiva, pongo una estrella por el engaño de este señor (nos sentimos estafados) ya que el resto, tanto los camareros como los bocadillos de la mañana...
