We were a group of 4 that went there to celebrate my mother in law's birthday. We booked 2 rooms, the wine-cellar tour and wine-tasting , and the dinner experience (they sell this as an exclusive 5 course set meal) . I don't eat meat due to allergies so I checked when making the booking whether this would be a problem. I was reassured it wouldn't be and they confirmed this during our checkin. Our first surprise came with the 'pincho' that is served during the wine-tasting. They served everyone chorizo and bread. I mentioned that I had notified the establishment that I didn't eat meat. The attendant shrugged and said I could eat a piece of bread with olive oil if I wished, but no alternative could be provided. Then came the dinner odyssey: after a tasty cold asparagus cream soup (which was the best thing we were served), they served us all a large stuffed clam. It occurred to me to ask whether it had any meat in it and the server said "it has a few bits of cured Spanish ham but you can just pull the pieces out". Despite our shock with the reply, we politely explained this wasn't an option as I don't eat meat and specified this upon making the booking. After a bit of a back and forth, she reluctantly headed back to the kitchen. Someone who we assume was the Chef at the moment came out, apologised and said I would be given something else. 10 minutes later, I was served 4 canned asparagus and a handful of sautéed mushrooms (the next morning I realised they're exactly the same ones they serve at the breakfast buffet). Then came the main course. Suffice to say that none of us were able to stomach what we were given. I was given a small medallion of monkfish (about the size of the lid of a soda can) over a bed of vegetables. It was so dry and overcooked that I had to really go at it with my knife to even get a bite. And it was as chewy as it was dry. After 2 bites, I preferred to drink my wine (which was much better than the food). The rest of the group was given a meat based dish - a say meat based because we still haven't managed to figure out yet what the jellyish lump was. Desert was in the same line.

When we checked out the following day, explaining what had happened, the manager offered no solution or compensation apart from a curt 'sorry'! We filled in an official complaint form. Needless to say we will not be returning!

I would though like to give credit where it's deserved. The guide during the wine cellar tour (Rebeca) was great - smart, funny and very...

We arrived exactly 2 minutes late to the tour, and the man at the front desk was extremely rude immediately, he did not greet us, and he walked away to start our tour. We had a stroller with an infant with us, and we were left to guess if the stroller could even enter or fit through the tight corridors of the cave as he did not even acknowledge us. The first interaction we had with the guide towards the end of the tour was him asking me “where did you leave the stroller?” as I had to remove the infant and leave it in the cave to proceed walking as it got stuck in the hall. Then, during the tasting at the end, he would rush off to the front desk to answer the ringing telephone. He rushed through the tour and tasting and seemed like he didn’t want to be working there. I understand they may be busy and understaffed, but this is no excuse to treat guests with disrespect. Very very disappointed with our entire experience here, which honestly was embarrassing especially since we had friends who traveled all the way from the United States to come here with us. The lunch was fine, and the waitress was kind, but the 3 bottles of wine were already opened on the table when we arrived, not in front of us, and when we asked to take the wine home, as we had more than 2 bottles remaining of the 3… we were told no it is part of the “tasting”. Even though we paid for it in the lunch price. This leaves me to wonder if they are reusing the wine for other guests later who arrive for the tour or lunch… definitely would...

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER !! THE RESTAURANT IS A SCAM ! THE STAFF THE WORST ATTENTION I EVER HAD !! We arrived at 15:00 hs , asked if it was possible to eat some snacks , the Hotel reception said yes , but once in the restaurant they came with three bottles of wine already opened , ( they did not opened them in front of us …) we asked what was that and they said the only option was to have the menu , that included wine and 3 dishes . They made mistakes and brought third dish before the second , I can not drink alcohol, but there was no other option than the menu that included the wine , of course I didn’t drink any wine and my husband had only half a bottle , we were travelling as a gift to my husband with two kids (5 years ) , after we finished they charged us 90€ for two menu , we asked if my husband could keep some wine for later as we found the meal extremely expensive for what we had. They really started a bad discussion about it that ended up in the most absurd discusión about triying to charge us more money for the visit to the bodega with the kids ( if they would have said that before I wouldn’t have entered with them , in fact I had to leave in the middle because my kids were bored ) but the worst was all the argument not to be overcharged, I am not getting into details but management there was the worst I have ever seen ....

This winery has a fantastic location and also very impressive grounds with lots of fun details to discover. There are plenty of parking lots and a bunch of tables outside. The tasting takes place inside. But we didn't go there, since we had our Bulldog with us. But there was the option to buy some wine by the glass and enjoy them outside with the nice views...which we did. The wine here is quite very good one. Smooth, yet strong. Fruity, but not too light. Don't go for the cheapest options if possible. If you like wine a bit on the heavier side, then you have to dig a bit deeper in your wallet. But well worth it. We had the Anastasio, 15 Euros a glass (95 a bottle), very very good. But still a bit steep for almost 100 bucks. The setting is fantastic. The winery sits on top of a hill, overlooking the valley on both sides. Great details like the entrance to the bathrooms outside (check the pics). Good wine, good views. Only one downside: The staff here - at least the lady at the entrance when we arrived - was far from being friendly or helpful. Very reserved, we felt like we were disturbing her. Half an hour later another one took her place...a lot friendlier and more helpful. Not all bad then...but still.

My friend and I spent a night here in November, and we were truly impressed. The hotel has beautiful views of the surrounding vineyards, and guests are free to walk the grounds. Although our room was dated and on the smaller side, the views made up for it. We caught the sunset from our window. The best part of our stay was undoubtedly the 5-course dinner, which featured a set menu. Major kudos to the chef, who I think was working alone!!! The dinner was absolutely divine, and there was so much food that I had to force myself to finish everything. As a pescatarian, I appreciated that they substituted one of the meat dishes with a seafood option for me. I also have to commend the sole server who was managing all the tables. My only critique would be that there were long waits between courses; they seem understaffed with just two people on duty, so I can’t fault them. We also booked the wine tasting and cave tour for the next day. The tour was good, but I didn't care much for the wine included in the tour. Overall, we had wonderful time in the hotel and on the tour. Thank you very much!

Beautiful hotel set in a vineyard. The location is remote, however situated not far from the beautiful town of laguardia. The hotel is stylish, with rooms with a view over the beautiful vineyard. The tours of the winery are brilliant and it's wonderful to learn about how the wine is made and how the family have built the brand. Dinner in the restaurant was very nice, with the menu changing daily and wines to compliment. The wine it's self is the star of the show, which you can really feel throughout the hotel and grounds. A couple of small things to make this pure perfection, the rooms are starting to look a little tired, pillows really need replacing, staffing for breakfast and dinner could do with maybe an extra person. They clearly worked hard but you could see it was a strain on their own and lastly no bar in the hotel to take in the view. Which is a real shame as clearly you have the most amazing wine 🍷 Otherwise it is amazing and we would love to return.
