Bodega González — Restaurant in Lanjarón

I have been here before some time ago and I have to say I never liked the staff, or the atmosphere. I find the staff very arrogant and not at all polite. One thing I would warn anyone going here is watch out for the bill as once you get that bill they without your consent could push up the price to act as a tip even though they don't say so. This is criminal but it has happened to me here when we as a group split the bill 50/50, I paid so much as did the others but when we later added it up the waiter had charged us each the same thus increasing the overall price than it's original amount. Injustice and again adding to my overall dislike for this place. Advice-check your bill...

Disgraceful!! My husband, our friends and I had drinks here and when the bill arrived it was €57.10. We were 2 couples and asked to split the bill 50/50. However we only realised afterwards that the waiter charged both cards €30 each, bringing the bill to €60, without our consent. Both people paying by card did not know the other person was also paying €30! No permission was requested nor given to pay extra! How dare the waiter give himself a tip without asking! Is this even legal? If you go here watch your money! Also, some of the staff are not friendly here, in my experience. Definitely...

We (15 of us) arrived at 10pm and the bar was already crowded but we were welcomed and seats were found. Once again value for money was outstanding and tapas was bought to the table each time a round was purchased. Very friendly and great service. We returned the following evening.
