El Mar De Nina — Restaurant in Málaga

Only leaving 1 star, because no stars isn’t an option. Honestly- if you come across this restaurant, keep walking.

The waiter didn’t seem to be able to concentrate on taking our order & was frequently distracted & kept walking off.

Requesting a menu & ordering some drinks was a challlenge in itself, to be honest, we should have left at this point, however I’m not a quitter

Our bottle of wine arrived 20-30 minutes before the corkscrew (despite asking for it to be opened 4 or 5 times) this was however, nothing compared to time between the bottle of water arriving & the “accompanying” glasses- the gulf between these two was epic.

I’d say (conservatively it was 80-90 minutes) Even the waiter had the good grace to look embarrassed as I asked for the water glass for the 6th time..

When they eventually arrived, they were red hot- presumably straight out of the dishwasher (which was actually fine, because by now, the bottle of water had heated up nicely in the Spanish sun, for well over an hour.

The salad that we ordered was fine (mixed salad) and the tomatoes with garlic were yummy. The king prawns on the BBQ were over salty & the fish- well, who knows… it never arrived, despite me asking for it 3 times….

As I say, don’t eat at this restaurant-walk on & find somewhere else. This restaurant has probably the worst service that I’ve ever...

Far from «the best» at El Palo.

We went for lunch knowing it was already late, so we had a more than understanding attitude. Yet, it was impossible to place our food order after the initial «two beers and two 'espetos', and the menu, please».

They had a messy situation with the table numbers and some complaints from another table which resulted in an indefinite waiting and, even worse, my unfinished beer taken from me without even asking.

Might consider coming for a second opportunity but given it is winter still, I don't know how well it be...

So many things went wrong that lunch. The drinks took soooo long. The food took sooo long. After waiting and waiting they brought us a fish we didn't order. The waitress wanted to convince us we did the order. And said it was our fault. Moreover they charged us a higher price and tried to rip us off. So we had another discussion with the waitress. A really unpleasant and a very bad experience. Really not...
