Wow, what a change from the sad and deserted place we visited over a year ago. The new owners have transformed the place into a welcoming vibrant restaurant. Result, a Friday lunchtime in November and it was virtually full with local diners. Starter to share of Ensalada jardines, was truly excellent. Croquetas with sobrasada, a bit underwhelming. Filet steak was enjoyable and the Primo Manel as a main was incredible. Fries topped with three fried eggs and crab legs was a feast. Good to hear they’re open all year…will be back soon.
PS: visited again today. Teeny suggestion: please give diners a special long fork to extract the meat from the crab legs (they’re really cheap on Amazon.es) and a disposable towel to wipe fingers if that is possible within your budget. Cheers
Add: visited again June 2025. Fantastic salad Jardins again to start and for me crab rice as a segundo plato. Totally excellent, but still no disposable towel or fork to extract the meat from the shell. Will have to bring my own next time! PS, visited again 18/7... implements to enjoy crab, lobster etc now supplied. Thank you...
Read moreWe ate here twice while on holiday on Menorca both for lunch and dinner, we booked in advance not to be disappointed. We dined in the garden which was very atmospheric and lovely. The food was exceptional, we had tapas for our lunch/afternoon meal for 6 people so had the full range of the menu was. The service attentive and we were advised on our order so we didn’t order too much. The evening meal again was exceptional especially the scrambled egg with ham and foire (although it came as poached), the Iberian pork was also really good. As before the service was excellent and the garden atmosphere with great food and wine leads to a very relaxed enjoyable experience, can’t rate this place highly enough. Also very reasonable unlike some of the restaurants that...
Read moreThis was certainly one of the best meals we had during our one week vacation on Menorca. We had a couple of tapas like the meatballs in tomato sauce which our kids loved. The rice with crab was super delicious and the highlight was the Iberian pork with plum sauce and S’aturadeta salad which was delicious. The service was attentive and fast while the restaurant was full. We liked sitting in the garden which is nicely set up and has atmosphere. And a huge bonus, our little one enjoyed the swings and slide, meaning we could sit an enjoy that bottle of wine much longer. It set a high standard for the week as we came here on our...
