Restaurant Itanou — Restaurant in Maó

The restaurant was busy with people waiting at Sunday lunch time. Despite the wait to be seated, chose to stay due to the positive reviews.

Was seated at a table in a corner which was swept with a hand to remove the bits on the table rather than wiped. Serving staff although rushed due to it being busy took order fairly quickly.

Ordered an assortment of nigri sushi pieces and prawn sho main. The food took a while to come out but understandable due to how busy it was. When the food came, it was clear that it had been prepared in a rush as the sushi were different sizes with different size seafood on the nigri. The sushi rice was not put together properly and not compact and just showed signs it had been rushed. That being said the taste was ok. The prawn sho mai was a shambles, again completely rushed. It was stuck to the plate and disintegrated immediately. The taste was lacking with the smallest amount of prawn contained.

Depende de lo que pidas aciertas o no. Yo un cuando he ido he pedido pollo con almendras, pato (no se cual exactamente, venía a la plancha con verduras y arroz) gyozas, sushi y estaba muy bueno, sobretodo el pato. Sin embargo mis otros acompañantes no acertaron y el pato que se pidieron a la naranja... Dejaba que desear, mucha salsa que parecía azúcar, el cerdo agridulce exagerado de salsa. Si los hubiera pedido yo tampoco hubiera estado contenta. Tema servicio, correcto, un poco lento pero son sólo dos y es comprensible. Siempre ponen pan de gambas para picar e incluye postre el menú que tiene fruta fresca. Limpieza tuvimos un incidente.. Pero sólo fue a uno de una mesa de 13, puede haber sido un...
