A hidden Outstanding gem, a traditional Spanish Restaurant with excellent food, service and cleanliness. I’m sure many tourists don’t know this place exists and as far as I could see most of the diners were Spanish which also says something. I was going to try this restaurant last year but the look of the exterior, as you will see from the photos, put me off, however you should never judge a book by its cover. We had lunch there today and we were very impressed, the outside seating was full so we sat inside the large restaurant. This is a family run business and we were greeted by both the owner and his son a very nice touch, I ordered the tuna steak cooked medium with salad my other half had steak and potatoes a traditional Spanish dish both meals were large portions, great value for money and delicious, what was nice to see is the meat and fish are fresh and you can see the products behind a refrigerated glass counter just like a butchers shop, looks like they sell the fresh meat as well. I will have the fillet steak next time, had one last night in another Local restaurant it was a much higher price and was a cooked frozen steak at least here it will be guaranteed fresh. I have included the bill in photos. Highly recommend this restaurant, as usual in Spain unless you say you don’t want bread they will just deliver it to you and charge. Toilets are large and spotlessly clean. Back again today and I had a freshly cut Fillet steak cooked to perfection and very tasty best steak I have had in a long long time. The restaurant will close for holidays tomorrow 10th June for 10 days.

We arrived to San Pedro de Alcantara by bus end were looking for a place to have lunch. It was Sunday and everything looked very quiet. We spoke with a local who recommended this place. What we found was just great! We sat outside as there were tables available on the patio. Service was friendly and menus and snacks came very quickly. I had a very good rabo de toro. Very smooth and tasty. My daughter had a ibérico pork and wife ate cuttlefish. Everything was well made, quality ingredients and well seasoned. By the time we were done the place was packed in and outside. Wonderful place!

One of my husbands favourite places to eat when in marbella. We made a special journey last night just for this restaurant and it was so worth it. We had absolutely fantastic quality food, great services, brilliant drinks. The peppercorn sauce was one of the best I've ever had. Such a friendly place. Great value for money when you consider the nibbles you get included before and after your main meal and the house drink at the end. We had a great night and left absolutely stuffed

As you walk in, you're quickly introduced to the "butchers counter", the kind of fridge full of raw meat that you'd expect in your local supermarket. The place is seriously dated and in need of an overhaul on the decor. As you're seated you are served with free olives, bread small crunchy bread sticks in a packet, and 2 meatballs, which needed to be introduced to some seasoning and garlic. Flavourless to say the least. For starter I had Lamb Skewers, 3, which came served on a bed of homemade chips. The lamb was juicy and tender, and would have been delicious, if they hadn't have been over powered by the taste of salt! For main I went for the fillet steak, medium. It came like the lamb Skewers, on a plate full of homemade chips (more sodding chips) and with a small bowl of what looked like peppercorn sauce. Looked like it, but didn't taste like it. No, sadly it just tasted like cream, brown cream (yummy). The steak when I cut into it, was under cooked, so medium rare, and like the lamb Skewers was juicy and tender, and oh so bland. To finish off once we'd asked for the bill, we, as everyone else in the restaurant, was brought a small piece of what I think was almond tart/cake? It's almost like they had to give it away, cos nobody would want to buy it. Just like the rest of the food I ordered, it was pretty flavourless. To sum up, every bit of food seriously needed to be introduced to seasoning, garlic, just some flavour. Marinade your meat! Sack your chef. How this place is busy is beyond me. The people round here need to taste more than just salt. One word to finish...

Very typical Spanish place. Good quality and reasonable price. Super fresh fish and amazing meat. In my opinion the must are the typical assorted fried fish "fritura", the pork chops with green pepper sauce "filetitos a la pimienta" and the clams with garlic and wine "coquinas". We go there very often for any informal occasion and Alfredo, the owner is always there greeting the clients with his happy spirit and his peculiar Andalusia character. The service is usually organised and fast but the place is huge and it can get a little bit slow when it's really crowded. If you are planing to go in an rush hour you may want to make a reservation otherwise you may need to wait until you can get a table. Take your time to go to restaurante Alfredo and enjoy the whole experience. Go from starters to desserts savoring every second of your meal. Is not only the food, is the place, the decoration, the waitresses, the owner, the ambience. We have been coming here for more than 10 years and we are planning to...
