We recently visited Cascada Marbella – "Le Patio" and had the opportunity to evaluate the full dining experience through our VELARIS Rating System

What we ordered:

Fresh Salad (Starter) – 6.0/10: Fresh ingredients, but lacked dressing, leaving it a little too dry. Mushroom Croquettes (Starter) – 9.0/10: Flavorful and delicious, though slightly heavy on the truffle sauce. Cheese Croquettes (Starter) – 7.0/10: Good quality, but less balanced than the mushroom version; again, too much truffle sauce (personal preference).

Sea Bass (Main) – 7.0/10: Excellent quality fish with good flavor. However, it lacked garnish, was unsalted, and blueberries served alongside didn’t pair well. No salt or pepper was available at the table. Beef Filet (Main) – 8.0/10: Very high-quality steak. It was served with a hot stone (strangely mentioned on the bill, though not charged), but I was not asked how I preferred it cooked. Minimal garnish (just two slices of pepper), and the béarnaise sauce was underwhelming. Again, no seasoning provided at the table.

Brownie with Vanilla Ice Cream (Dessert) – 7.0/10: The brownie had great flavor and texture, but the ice cream felt low quality, with an icy texture and weak vanilla taste.

Notes & Observations:

Cascada operates two restaurants (“Terraza de Cascada” and “Le Patio”), and this review refers to "Le Patio". The quality of the ingredients was consistently high, but plating and garnishing were minimal and side dishes were not included with the mains, despite higher pricing. The service was warm and professional overall: staff were attentive, refilled glasses without asking, offered bag hooks, and communicated well in English. A few details could improve (e.g., not always serving from the correct side, no replacement spoon after one fell to the floor). Ambience was excellent – stylish and comfortable – though the restroom setup felt awkward (tiny space, sink located outside in view of other guests). Accessibility is limited: only stairs lead to Le Patio, which may be difficult for wheelchairs or strollers. Parking space is also limited. Menu diversity is somewhat restricted, with only one vegetarian/vegan main option.

Final Impression:

Despite some inconsistencies in seasoning, garnishing, and side dish inclusivity, "Cascada in Marbella – Le Patio" delivers a very good dining experience. Its outstanding service, exceptional hospitality, and beautiful ambience make it a highly recommendable spot in Marbella.

My wife and I recently had the immense pleasure of dining at Cascada Cocina and Bar in Marbella, Spain, and we can confidently say it was one of the most exceptional meal experiences we've ever had in our ten years of traveling and dining across the globe.

From the moment we arrived, we were enveloped in an atmosphere that radiated warmth and sophistication. The patio, where we chose to dine, was stunning in its representation of all the natural fauna and flora that is to be found in the Costa del Sol. The beautiful greenery and vibrant flowers created an environment that made us immediately realize we were going to experience something special.

The food at Cascada Cocina and Bar is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece. Each dish we sampled was a testament to the incredible skill and creativity of the chefs. The flavors were meticulously balanced, the presentation was artful, and every bite was an explosion of taste that left us in awe. Cascada and its entire team deserve all of the accolades they have received and the awards yet to come.

What truly elevated our dining experience was the impeccable service. The staff at Cascada Cocina and Bar were not only highly professional but also genuinely warm and attentive. From the moment we were seated, we felt like cherished guests. Our servers anticipated our needs with grace and efficiency, and their passion for their work was evident in every interaction. They took the time to explain each dish, share recommendations, and ensure that our glasses were never empty.

The entire experience was a symphony of perfection. It was not just a meal, but a journey that engaged all our senses and left us with memories that we will treasure forever. We are profoundly grateful to the entire team at Cascada Cocina and Bar for creating such a memorable evening for us.

There simply aren't the words to explain how wonderful this place is! We held our wedding here in May this year after finding Cascada's Instagram page in back in 2024. After our first visit, we both fell in love with the place, the food, the ambience and knew we simply had to have our wedding here.

We had 95 guests and every bit of feedback we have had since has centred around the venue, the food and the excellent music from Jose on guitar and DJ Gema.

The planning stages of our wedding were made absolutely seamless by Max, the wonderful lady who owns Cascada and runs the events so incredibly, as well as Oshan, the events extraordinaire! The attention to detail which both these ladies showed towards us made what could have been a stressful time so enjoyable. Nothing was too much hassle for Max and Oshan and their desire to get it just right was the type of attention you would expect to pay towards your own wedding. Max and Oshan oversaw the table planning, decorations, made some brilliant suggestions throughout and generally kept the planning stages on track. On the day itself, Oshan was taking photos discreetly which were wonderful and Max was there to greet us, calm our nerves and generally co-ordinanted the whole event with class and style. They were simply awesome!

The venue is an oasis of beauty. We had our ceremony on the patio under the lemon trees and I am not exaggerating when I say this place is what wedding dreams are made of! The drinks were outstanding- margaritas during our 'champagne' reception were a real hit! The food is out of this world. Our friends commented that the steaks were the best they have ever had, and I can testify to this.

We could go on and on about Cascada and the incredible team there, but in the interests of keeping this (relatively) snappy, my advice is to go, see and experience it for yourself and if you are even considering this place to deliver the wedding of your dreams- you will not be disappointed.
