Bar Restaurant Cafè Nou Sa Cabaneta — Restaurant in Marratxí

I was in Mallorca for business and spend three nights with friends in Sa Cabaneta.

They recommended me the restaurant “Cafè Nou Sa Cabaneta” as it was close by.

When I went there on my first evening I was pleasantly surprised. They have an interesting menu consisting of typical Spanish and Mallorquin cuisine along other choices.

I was very happy with my food and returned the following 2 mornings for a delicious and various breakfast and 2 more evenings for a evenly tasteful dinner (octopus and spareribs).

The staff is super friendly and generous in their behaviour towards customers and give excellent advice about their dishes. These are all the reasons I simply kept returning to this place and didn’t want to try out any other restaurant: this place was simply too good.

The armosphere inside is cozy and they have terraces in front and in the back where you can enjoy the sun or shade under a sun roof. When it gets a jit chilly they immediately put external heating on next to where you sit.

A truly pleasant experience in a restaurant with an elegant, relaxing atmosphere, and attention to every detail. The refined décor is made unique by a beautiful wall of typical Mallorcan stone, which adds character and makes the environment even more welcoming and original. The terracotta ceramic chandeliers also impressed us: very refined details that add a touch of warmth and style to the space. We had a wonderful time, especially thanks to the carefully designed atmosphere. The service was attentive and discreet. The menu is rich and varied; being our first visit, we chose hamburgers because we were in the mood for them, and they were a delightful surprise, beautifully presented and really tasty. We will definitely return to try other dishes...

Que pena del servicio, lento, maleducado y que termina echándote del local. Dos camareras distintas, lo que nos da a entender que debe ser más bien una directiz del propietario, nos negaron tomar un digestivo a las 23.15h de la noche en viernes. Mesa de 9 pax. Nos fuimos sin cafe tampoco. El comentario fue; "no sabéis lñel trabajo que nos queda despues de que os vayais". Se le indicó que había otra mesa tomando copas y se nos respondió que lo habían solicitado con el postre. Se le preguntó donde estaba apuntado ese protocolo y se nos espetó algo parecido a "es lo que hay". También se nos indicó que el horario estaba en Internet. Y que si era la segunda vez que nos pasaba que "pues ya lo sabéis de antes". En fin, supongo que debe ser el nuevo estilo de atender de la hostelería a dia de hoy, estilo al que no estoy, ni acostumbrado, ni de acuerdo. Entre otras cosas porque eso no nos pasa en otros lugares. Finalmente, por motivos que no vienen a cuento, tan solo indicar que la mesa que ya había pedido "junto con los postres" tardo 45 minutos en terminar y salir, es decir a las 23.58h salían por la puerta. Allí quedó otra mesa que alargó la botella de vino porque ya nos fuimos. Ni que decir tiene que le indicamos a la camarera que 20 min nos bastaban para hacer la copa e irnos pero fue tajante. Como hay que decir la verdad, se ve que la camarera quiso arreglarlo y volvió a ofrecernos la copa a las 23.39h pero ya fuimos nosotros los que no estábamos cómodos y pedimos la cuenta. Resumen, los platos muy acertados, el ambiente tranquilo, la decoración muy cuidada pero el servicio lento (las 2 veces) y poco respetuoso.
