Having checked they were open from 12.00 we arrived just after 1.00.to find the place open but deserted apart from one couple who were having a drink. We checked with the barman and he confirmed they were open for lunch. We sat down. We were then ignored for over 15 minutes. Finally, our drinks order was taken. We asked for menus. The drinks arrived after 10 minutes - the menus did not. We waited another 15 minutes and decided enough was enough. Nobody was around for us to speak to, or pay, We put our money on the table and left. Very disappointed after reading...

This is truly a special find. We have been coming here for over 2 years now and have nothing but wonderful things to say about it. From the views to the food, the atmosphere to the music at the weekends…everything is perfect and very Spanish, but the owner and staff are what make the restaurant our happy place. Such lovely people who take great care of you and are always friendly and happy. La Retama is a wonderful find and we almost don’t want to make a review so we can jeep it...

Authentic, views, kind service, great BBQ. Affordable. Next time I'll try their paella which is served unti 14:00 on Sat & Sundays.

Had taco de loma, pil pil, BBQ mix for two. We were 2 adults + teenagers.

A place to visit during your stay. Walkable grom Los Pacos but some uphill on the way there. Taxi, by car or scooter...
