Back to La Tierra — Hotel in Mijas

Staying at Back to La Tierra was "another experience"! Such a great location, thinking you are in the middle of nowhere, but really only being from the Mediterranean in 10 minutes by car. The apartments are nicely, in an earthy way, decorated with all amenities one can think of. The grounds are just beautiful, with beautiful fruit trees and a very old Algarobbo tree. Lot's of little areas to retreat to and enjoy some quiet "you" time. The pool is delicious with great views towards the mountains. The yard has been set up according to the "Permaculture" principle, which is an ongoing process for Paul, who also is a very talented painter/artist. Marina runs the hospitality side of Back to La Tierra. We enjoyed a lovely dinner with produce from their own yard. Paul and Marina are a wonderful couple, with always time for a good discussion about life and the world we live in. We are sure going to be back there real soon as we miss them and La...

We enjoyed a week's stay at this lovely finca.  The accommodation is tastefully furnished in a traditional style but with all mod cons - washing machine, dishwasher etc... Lovely pool - though too cold for us in March, although we did have an hour's yoga practice with Marina in the yurt!  The gardens are beautiful too, with fruit, veg and herbs that we were able to use. Good location between Fuengirola on the coast and Mijas Pueblo - a lovely white village, very well kept, with many good restaurants. 25 minutes' drive from Malaga airport. You really need a car to explore the area and all it has to offer. Charming hosts who were very accommodating and helpful.  Good comms from initial booking and throughout our stay. I'm still here in the Garden of Life getting back to the earth and it's my third stay! Such a wonderful place. Relaxing.Tranquil. Inspiring. Beatifully maintained and always a feast for the eyes to see it progress on each visit. I do not want to leave but soon I must return to England because of Brexit although I shall return in the spring of next year and look forward already to my time here.
