We ordered a table beforehand, so the restaurant knew we were coming with a big family. The evening started with dirty cutlery and glasses when we sat down at the table. We were a family with children, and the waiters started by shouting out who was having beer. The waiter didn't take the time to listen to the orders. After 30 minutes, the family wanted more to drink, but it was impossible to get hold of the waiters and if we did we didn’t get the order. After an hour, we had to go out and buy water at a store and bring it to the restaurant. When the food arrived, almost everything was wrong. Dishes were changed, and we got something completely different from what we ordered. Nevertheless, the waiter insisted that we had ordered what she brought - even though several people could confirm that this was wrong. This was very uncomfortable. People who arrived long after us were served food before us - much to the frustration of small children. We waited 2 hours for the last course, and even this was wrong. In the end, we couldn't bear to say anything. One person got his burger and the other one got his chicken 1,5 hour later. The burgers that were ordered tasted like fish? We were served the bill at full price, even though the staff were aware of our bad experience. We received a discount on the price after arguing, which should have been more and an absolute. This is the worst experience we ever had at...
Read moreDoña Maria is closed, Maria has retired. 😢 What a loss. I hope someone capable opens a restaurant here of the same caliber with at least comparable prices. I will miss you Doña Maria This was our local standard kitchen. We're really lucky to have one of the best restaurants literally almost next door. The service is great although it can be slow when the place is full, which is more or less every night during high season. You better book your table in advance during high season. If you order the previous day you can get a Paella that is just magnificent. For lunch Maria has the best tapas assortment, changes from day to day so you can surely find something to suit. Prices are on the cheaper side but the food is definitely delicious. Beware that Maria is closed from mid January to...
Read moreExtremely disappointing meal, was very excited after its re opening. I’m leaving this review in the hopes that it encourages the restaurant to return to its former highs. First of all my coke was served frozen. The prawn pill pill was terrible, they were extremely stingy with the prawns, which is a huge red flag, prawns are not expensive, it should be loaded full. Bread wasn’t homemade and arrived in a plastic bag. I had the chicken skewer for mains, the plate had a big layer of water over it that my chicken was soaking in, it was unseasoned and chewy. This was really disappointing. I felt as if the meal was thrown together with no love at all. I will not be back until I’ve heard better things. New management really need to focus...
