4 consecutive very poor meals - too many last chances

This is one of our nearest restaurants to home so it’s in our interests to support and like it. One of us likes Indian food which they do well. Unfortunately, the other prefers ‘low calorie’ which this restaurant apparently struggles with - time and time again - in our experience. We’ve tried the salmon , asking for it to come with just vegetables. We paid extra for that!!!! Anyway, they came curried. So the next time we asked for salmon, quite clearly, with vegetables NOT curried. they came curried - we politely said nothing. Frankly, the salmon wasn’t good either and it’s one of the most expensive things on their menu - and believe me it’s not fresh. Anyway, last night and tonight we were very late and close to home and we hadn’t eaten. Last night I opted for the tuna salad - Sauce on the side - the waiter read it back to us - sauce on the side. It came smothered in some sort of nuclear coloured mayo consistency stuff. We sent it back. Twenty minutes later another salad reappeared but by that time my partner had nearly finished. Well what can you do? - I ate it and wondered why there was no sauce on the side. Tonight, very sadly we found out. So last night we were very disappointed, but we said well, it’s one of our nearest restaurants let’s ‘spell it out’. It was late and we hadn’t eaten. Tonight I opted for the Avocado salad. BIG MISTAKE. The Avocado was like a bullet and the prawns tasteless due to the very recent defrosting. But the sauce was on the side - in a supermarket style plastic squeegy bottle - which we laughingly recognised from last night. Maybe if you want a curry it’s ok BUT to any of you that doesn’t - I gave them an unbelievable four chances and they couldn’t deliver. And the end of the story - when it was clear when they removed the plates that I had eaten NO avocado WHATSOEVER - they offered - to be fair, TWICE, - to bring me another half an avocado. The mind boggles. Needless to say there was no reduction in the bill. FOUR chances - every time, to be fair only one of two of us - TOTALLY LET DOWN. I will NOT be...

I am writing to recommend Restaurant Verona in Mijas for their outstanding cuisine and exceptional dining experience. During my recent visit to the restaurant, I had the pleasure of trying their Chicken Cheese Tikka, and it was absolutely amazing.

Firstly, the portion size of the Chicken Cheese Tikka was generous and more than enough for one person. The chicken was tender and juicy, and the cheese added an extra layer of flavor that was absolutely delicious. The presentation of the dish was also impressive, with the colors and textures creating a beautiful plate.

But what really stood out was the taste. The combination of spices and seasoning was just perfect, and every bite was bursting with flavor. The dish was perfectly cooked, with the chicken being just the right level of tender and the cheese melted to perfection.

Overall, my experience at Restaurant Verona was exceptional, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience. The Chicken Cheese Tikka is definitely a must-try dish, but I am confident that whatever you choose from their extensive menu, you won't be disappointed. The restaurant's attentive and friendly service only added to the experience.

Been going to this place for about 6 years and it has become our favourite local eatery sometimes eating Indian food there 2 or 3 times a month and recommending it to friends. Food and service was consistently good. Went there last night for the first time since January and had a bad experience poor service rushing us to order, food very bland, lacking usual spice. Lentils not cooked down properly, tandoori not charred as normal. Ordered garlic rice and got onion rice instead which was also bland, Waiter didnt take order down on device like they normally do. All in all not good. Not the usual staff either we asked if they had changed their chef but they said it was their normal one. We complained about the food and although they did offer to change the rice they did not really consider our comments as valid. Will not be going back again unless we hear things have...
