Tauro Grill Restaurant — Restaurant in Mogán

If you like your chicken cooked rare then this is the place for you. The meal experience started off great , initially lovely waitress , super friendly. Drinks came quick, then starters were awesome. Then the problems started as mains arrived. One of us had a mixed chicken and steak kebab. HUGE mistake. It's tricky of course to cook that if the chicken is not par-cooked prior to the grilling but we had to send the dish back as chicken in side was raw. It returned 5 minutes later, and cut into another piece and raw again. We asked them not to try again and asked for a replacement dish, a steak which they could not incorrectly cook. This is when the Fawlty Towers act started. We had to ask the waitress to replace the cutlery for fresh as it has just cut into raw chicken, it did not occur to her. The "chef" sulked and just cleared off for ten minutes, clearly upset at being told off by the waitress .... when he returned he reluctantly cooked the steak and our final mains dish arrived 40 minutes after the rest of us had ours. We got the bill and astonishingly were charged for the main dish that arrived at the 3rd time of asking. We challenged that and to be fair, the waitress did remove it after trying to politely defend why it was there with a "well you got your food in the end didn't you ?" type of chit chat. So I will finish by saying the food we did have that was cooked properly was very good and so by no means is this place a total disaster, but I guess we got unlucky with the car mechanic who fancied his chances on the grill part time. Obviously we did not return. Not a place to necessarily avoid but tread with caution on poultry if the untrained chef is still working...

An absolute hidden gem. WOW ! Do not be fooled by the fact that this restaurant has a “spar” next door. The food here is outstanding. We have eaten locally around the coast for a number of years, and can honestly say in terms of preparation, seasoning and service this grill restaurant puts all “high end” establishments on the immediate coast to shame. Friendly staff, relaxed service and grilled food prepared freshly right next to the dining area. Meal 1 I had mixed kebab which was succulent and tasty. This prompted my fellow traveler’s to want to return and order that for themselves. On the return visit I chose the fillet mignon (rare) i have eaten this dish all over the world. I can honestly say that the Tauro Grill version can rival anyone. Beautifully seasoned and grilled to perfection. I highly highly highly recommend this restaurant. My fellow diners had over the two evenings, garlic mushrooms, garlic bread with tomatoes, kebabs, Iberian pork and chicken curry all of which received a major thumbs up 👍 If you want white table cloths, 15 forks and an ego massage this place is not for you. However if you want truly excellent, succulent grilled meats… then this...

Terrible experience, I was here with my Family of 8 to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We got in and the staff seemed little friendly which eventually turned out sour primarily towards new guests coming in and eventually to everyone in the restaurant. We had to wait about 20min to make our order, and we waited anxiously for the food, after a wait of 1 hour and 30min (they were so rude I didn’t want to ask). We asked the staff where the food was, they claimed because we ordered Paella we had to wait 40 min, we politely said we had waited almost double that time. 5 minutes later they came out and said the kitchen didn’t even start on our food. We got up and left, I will NEVER come back and recommend others who want a nice cozy dinner lunch or anything similar to not go here. It will, for sure...
