La Barra d'en Regue — Restaurant in Olot

Just a delightful place! The owner and his wife took excellent care of me, explaining the menu and suggesting dishes or modifications to curate my little "dinner journey". It all started with the best tomatoes I've eaten in my life in a beautiful spread with bonito and olives, and a bit of jamon that was thoughtfully served on a warmed plate. I then had the calamari with spicy mayo, of which I immediately had to order a second helping since they were so good. The pulpo was made specifically to my liking (serving the whole leg instead of Galician-style with potatoes) and was just perfect - tender and sweet, and slightly charred. And the ribeye was also spectacular. During the entire night, I felt in the best of hands, and couldn't skip the homemade cheesecake to finish off my meal. Bar con pretenciones. Dispone de una larga barra y poco más. Productos de cierta calidad pero a precio de oro. Precio del menú desmesurado para lo que es. Es inaudito que ofrezca el menú a boli. Servicio desganado y con muy pocas ganas de trabajar.

Entramos para tomar algo y tal como le comentamos picar algo. Vaya sorpresa que en un bar de tapas no se pueda tapear ni tomar algo. Lástima que se le haya roto la impresora el día antes; quizás impreso dicho menú luciría más apetecible que a boli con letra ilegible. En ningún momento se ha puesto en tela de juicio la calidad de sus productos ya que no, no hemos comido en su bar...Si usted considera que es un restaurante digno de una estrella michelín luche por ello. Nos llevo a entrar en su bar precisamente la valoración de 4,4 de la que a mi juicio no llega ni de lejos; de ahí mi valoración. Nos dice que sólo tiene el menú de 35€ teniendo sólo 2 comensales...Si no tiene ganas de abrir un domingo, no lo haga. Con mi reseña no pretendo absolutamente nada. Simplemente soy "Local Guide" en Google y valoro a los sitios a los que acudo. (Mi perfil y valoraciones me aparan). En dichas valoraciones puedo puntuar en base a mi criterio lo que yo considere.
