Really disappointed. We first came here 2 years ago and it was excellent and we have been many times since as we live not far away. However Something has changed now and we had several small issues that when added together made for an unpleasant experience. My wife wanted a margarita pizza with pineapple adding (I know) but was told they can't alter a margarita pizza ?? she was told she would have to order a hawaiian pizza and they would leave off the ham ? When she asked for onions to be added in place of the ham she was told it would be extra cost - hilarious. My carbonara pizza was crazy. Over cooked so the egg became scrambled and the bacon was very smokey, it was more like a quiche than a pizza. The restaurant was far from full but it was relatively busy for a Thursday night so we expected slight delays etc but it took a long time for our order to be taken and then to receive our simple shared starter. We both speak excellent Spanish but average Catalan, the waitress only spoke Catalan with us but then at the end spoke perfect English. I don't care about that but it came across a little strange and we felt like we were treated like tourists that they don't care about and would never see again yet we live here (34 years) and have frequented the restaurant several times before. The young staff are great and pleasant but the boss lady and the quality of the food spoilt our evening. We don't expect Michelin star food or service at any pizzeria but that cost us 50 euros and was simply not good. Shame on Dolce Vita Olot for that, there are other pizzerias in town and on the outskirts that will be getting our trade...
Read moreThis is a good safe option if you don't have an adventurous palette. As a result, when we were there, there were a lot of children and some of them were running around. The location is great, with plenty of outdoor seating. The food was good. It was quite busy so it took a while before we could order, but the food arrived very quickly and service was friendly. The recommended local wine was very good and dessert was excellent - I had the...
