Update Re: Owner Response - always tone deaf when businesses are unwilling to listen to 'the voice of the customer', and generally insist that they are right - with their approach/offerings/etc. - vs being receptive to customer feedback. 8 oz is pretty standard yogurt cup size so your cold brew is in that range. No one in the world serves a maximum size cold brew of same size you do. You are market non-normal and aberrational in all the wrong ways. I would comment additionally that your cold brew is a 'new menu offering'. It's 100% not about pricing. Expectation for a cold brew (largest size) is 16 oz minimum. It is simply not of value to drink a 9 oz cold brew. Btw: the 9 oz you suggest is likely a max of four oz of coffee, 2 oz milk, and the rest ice. 99%+ of shops offer larger sizing such that you simply get more of the 'product' w/ room for ice. I would happily pay more for an appropriately sized drink. I find Zero Rationale for making your largest cold brew 9 oz. as though quality and drink characteristics would suffer were there a 16 oz option. It's sad to find owners who reject the voice of the customer, and rationalize the rejection as a deliberate choice to 'not be for everyone'. Thank you for the offer of a refund...but you mistake this as being a 'pricing issue'. It is not. I am not a price sensitive customer. I am sensitive when the organizational tone of an establishment is haughy and supercilious. Best luck w/ the boutique business that is by design not for everyone.
Wow...I ordered their advertised 'new' cold brew coffee with milk and ice...paid almost 4 Euro. My to-go cup was presented to me...about the size of a pudding or yogurt cup...maybe 4-6oz total. I asked if I could have in their larger 12-16oz to-go cup by simply adding more ice and milk. They were pretty haughty and non-responsive and dismissive. I have had cold brews across the US, UK, Euro zone, and have never/even had a pudding cup of coffee presented to me for equivalent pricing. And with their dismissive approach, they added that quality standards were higher. Now, as a customer of boutique and large coffee shops, from Seattle to NYC and here in Spain in Barcalona to Madrid and Malaga and Valencia, the 'quality' here is in a good range w/ beans and production (from what I can tell). All that I wanted was milk and ice added to make a normal drink size vs a pudding cup suitable for a toddler. Zero effort was made by staff to understand or budge...though the cold brew is advertised as a new menu item. It's just a criminally bad way to run a business and (mis)treat customers. Think about cold brew priced at about one Euro per ounce. That is absurdly non-normal. But the kicker is the abysmal customer service. I've been to pretentious and snobby coffee shops...but these guys take it to a whole...
EDIT: Encima me responden llamándome mentirosa, me parto.
