A bit of a mixed impression, I would rate it as 4.5 out of 5. My wife was very exited though, so I'll try to be as thorough as I can. Here we go: Went there together with my better half on a Thursday in July, not yeat a high season. The reservation I made the day before over the phone couldn't be found. The waiter was friendly and found us a table. Although this was not too hard as the location was still half-empty at 20:30. It filled some after 21:00, but still there were tables available. My wife got the Lamb shoulder and I went for the T-bone. Both slightly under 30 EUR. My wife was very satisfied, but I expected a bit more from my T-bone. The meat was tasty and properly grilled, but 50% of the piece was just fat. IMHO, 50% is too much. House wein was good and inexpensive, but as I was driving, drinking was not on the agenda, so we went for just one glass each. Very positive - the environment, it's a real farm with a lot of green lawns and is very spacious. Also, the guy who served us was very friendly and spoke English with a cute accent. So I've been told by my wife. All in all, I suppose this was just not my day, and I'll visit it again, probably...
Read moreVery fresh meat. Their bestseller is shoulder of lamb. This restaurant are about 10-15 minutes drive from torrevieja. It's really secluded in the forest. Very nice and very popular. The food is excellent. There are often buses coming here with guests to eat. This is a restaurant you should try if you are in the area. It's a little bit tricky to find. Use gps, and you will find it. It's in the end of a long drive on a small gravel road. You will most likely see rabbits driving up to the ranch. The staff are very nice. You get some bread and salad while you wait for your food. Expect 20-30 minutes before the food you order is in the table. Will worth the wait. They have flamenco shows mondays at 8 pm and fridays 9 pm. Make a reservation. They are open Tuesdays. But previous it was closed on Tuesdays. So there are not so much people there on Tuesdays yet.. I ordered a steak. Amazing...
Read moreWell what an amazing find. It is off of an awful beaten up road which makes it even better. Take your time driving and you'll be fine (I did it in the light and back in the dark and all was fine). You need a hire car to get there. The food was superb. The staff were friendly and helpful. The prices are brilliant.
Expect authentic Spanish food served by locals. Don't expect everyone to speak English (this is not the place if you have no Spanish language at all).
My only wish is that we found this place sooner. Amazing paella, lovely fresh farmhouse bread, and our two kids shared a pizza and loved it.
Highly recommend, but please dress well.
Updated with a second customer August 2022. Still wonderful - no idea what the recent negative reviews are all about. Don't hesitate...
