Restaurante Molí de Xirles — Restaurant in Polop

What lovely restaurant, we went on a Monday afternoon as we were told that it can get very busy at the weekends. You can see why as it was sheltered from the hot sun with the river running beside it and there is a pool. We all had the Menu del día which was fantastic. The tapas shearing dishes were definitely enough for for four along with the bread, aliol and tomato. My partner and I had the paella mixta, I have to say it was one of the best I have had. Our friends had lam cordero, which we thought was Shank but turned out to be shoulder and was a bit more fatty but very tasty, the other was chuletas de cordero, very nice! Great desert also. After a long morning at via ferrata we came here for an early lunch. How fortunate! A small lunch turned into a big lunch once we saw the set menu which has many traditional foods from the area and was very reasonably priced.

If you like your grilled meat, well, it's a speciality of this place. The starters were great, were had prawns, meat balls and escalivada. However the grill... wow! We had the chicken and the steak. The aroma alone was mouth watering and the grilled charcoal flavour on the meat was delightful!

Almost perfect! Great dpot next to the river, food and prices are fantastic. We had the menu with 3 starters, paella mixta and dessert and a nice bottle of vino rosado! This all for only 65€. The only critic: I asked for a table along de river which was denied. I could understand because I didnt have a reservation.
