We had a wonderful experience visiting Casa Chaves. It's a warm, friendly family run business that was one of the highlights of our month long trip to Spain and Portugal. José and Robin were very welcoming to my wife, Jenn, and I. Fantastic food at a very good value. We love supporting great family run businesses. This is one of the best! Please add it to your places to while on the Caminho or while visiting Pontecesures!! What a gem!!

Very simple family run restaurant. I just stopped for a beer and had a warm welcome and a tasty free tapa. I was even asked if I wanted more tapa! If their menu (which is only 6€!)is as tasty as the tapas, I would totally recommend to stop here if you plan a break during your camino!

For only 6€ you get delicious, really big traditional meal with drink. After that I'm full and happy:). Very nice service and moody interior.

Very simple family run restaurant. I just stopped for a beer and had a warm welcome and a tasty free tapa. I was even asked if I wanted more tapa! If their menu (which is only 6€!)is as tasty as the tapas, I would totally recommend to stop here if you plan a break during your camino!

Grandes tapas y pinchos, comida casera y personal muy amable. Warm welcome, great food and cheaper prices for pilgrims!
