I really can't even give them a 1 star review because when we arrived we were told that all we could have was cold food and we did not eat there. In fairness, their kitchen closes at 2300 and we arrived at 2255. However we called and asked if it was too late to eat. We were told we could come. We got there 10 minutes after the call. We were greated with angry agreesive raised voice. You are too late we only have cold foods. Why didn't you tell us that before we hiked up the hill. The owner was so aggressive we did not want to stay. They kept trying to get us to stay and have their cold food. We said no and left. My wife is from Galicia and is a native spanish speaker. There was no misunderstanding. This man's attitude drove us away. Don't make the same mistake. Just down the street we found a restaurant that was open with a full menu. I stopped in Pravia for a quick lunch after visiting new friends in Candamo. I did a quick search and found Casa Vila conveniently located close to a parking area.

I received a warm welcome and was quickly seated after enquiring about lunch. The restaurant is cosy and decorated with colourful paintings...DON'T miss the ceiling! It is beautifully painted!

They offer an extensive menu and I opted for the cachopo with cecina, cheese and a mushroom and red pepper sauce. It was delicious and the portion is enormous! I didnt have a starter or dessert and I struggled to finish it.

Fuimos por recomendación a comer para probar la comida típica Asturiana y nos fuimos un tanto decepcionados.

Lo primero el trato, habían 4 mesas, y nos atendió el dueño que la verdad pese a que estuvo atento no tuvo los mejores modales (hablándonos sin mirarnos, sacando los segundos cuando no habíamos terminado con los primeros y cuando pedimos consejo con la comida y las cantidades no nos ayudó con nada). No es que esto lo convierta en una mala atención, pero desde luego esperas un poquito más de un sitio así y más en una zona céntrica.

En cuanto a la comida, los tortos MUY ricos, pero hasta ahí. Un cachopo con una ternera muy buena y bien cocinada, pero con champiñones y pimientos del piquillo que se notaba que eran de bote y le quitaban el sabor. Lo mismo, no esta malo pero esperas algo más. Pedimos también las Fabes y aunque la presentación y el olor eran buenas, estaban excesivamente grasientas y no las pudimos acabar.

Al final nos fuimos con la sensación de comer en un sitio sobrevalorado pasando un rato no...
