Our friend, Antonio is now the manager of this new venture. We met Antonio several years ago and have since travelled many miles for his top level of service. He now manages this restaurant with with the help of his wife, Patricia, and friends, chef Sandra, and front of house Evana. Being from the middle of England we found Sandra's menu exciting, combining her experience with many strands of international cuisine to create dishes which are undoubtedly Spanish yet inspiringly different. The restaurant sits in an amazing and immaculate plaza, where even the trees are clad in local art. This is a very unspoiled and perfect village, totally Spanish yet in easy reach of the coast and Malaga. Galbun is a 'must visit' for those from the UK who seek a real and top quality Spanish eating experience . Antonio said that the last time he spoke English was to us, two years ago!!! Antonio and Evana are very patient and a great help to those of us that enjoy travelling yet cannot speak or understand very much Spanish.
This restaurant has our highest recommendation.
PS. We enjoyed a selection of dishes from the menu, and ate very well for 50 Euros. If you are on a budget then the tapas style dishes were...

After a friendly welcome and table assignment we immediately received olives and fresh, still warm bread and our rosé wine.
Antonio informed us about two dishes that are offered in addition to the menu (Cold Lasagna and Brioche) which we ordered as starters. Before that we received an appetizer from the kitchen - spring rolls. In the cold lasagna, the anchovies stand out. If you don't like them, it's better to skip this recommendation. Otherwise, good combination and definitely a special not everyday Lasagna. The brioche (mini burger with mayonnaise and pulled pork) unfortunately didn't taste that much. In addition, we got two croquettas.
For the main course we got our money's worth and the Pulpo was very tasty. The combination Cochinillo (baby pork) with mango chutney was also delicious, only slightly porky.
All in all, a nice evening with good service and good food with a price performance rather at...
