I literally never write reviews, EVER. However, on the Camino I decided to take a rest day in Samos and passed by this place. I took a chance and let me just say Albaroque has some of the BEST food I’ve had on the Camino, and to be honest probably ever. I went two times to eat there, and was blown away both times. The owners are really sweet and kind, and the bar plays awesome music. For lunch I ordered an empanada, which came with a delicious vinaigrette salad, and a tomato and garlic tostada (this isn’t on the menu, but it had come to me as a tapa with my drink, and I asked for a larger portion because it was literally the best thing I’ve EVER eaten, seriously). For dinner I ordered the croquetas (a sampler of all the flavors), and a beef burger. The croquetas were fabulous, the piquillo ones were my favorite! And the burger was really flavorful. This restaurant really knows how to season their food. Each item I ordered completely knocked it out of the park, really delicious. Please do not miss this gem of a restaurant. If I’m ever back in the area, it’s the first place I’ll go!...

Such a nice vibe and a classic cosy, comfortable and relaxed ambiance - which tugs at memories of my home in Fremantle, Australia. I really enjoyed idling away here for a few hours. I appreciated the attention to decor and atmosphere: It's clear the hospitalerios take pride in their establishment and hold to a standard for both product and service. Beer is cold and crisp; the food is great, and prepared with care and consideration for flavour and presentation. Sweet music, too. Nothing like a cold beer and some Dire Straits. If you're grabbing a bite or a drink out in Samos, this is where you...
Read moreThis was my favourite restaurant/bar along the Camino. The people who served us were so kind and and made us feel so welcome. The building is cozy and we adored the music. The food was sensational and the beers were just as good! We got patata bravas and asked for patatas Ali-oli which they didn’t have on the menu but the owner surprised us with some and it was so delicious! And we also had the veggie salad which was one of the most tasty salads I’ve had with dried fruit, nuts, cheese and a yummy vinaigrette! If we’re ever in the area again I’d make the journey in a heartbeat!! I can’t recommend this place...
