Well...we have had two meals in this restaurant which have been good. We have spent around £70 each time. We went again this evening. We arrived fairly early at 6.30pm, ordered wine and soup to start. We intended to order tapas after we had eaten the garlic soup. It took 30 minutes for the soup to arrive! And it wasn't consistent with the soup we'd had previously. A different recipe altogether. Nevertheless we ate it...it was still good, albeit it different. We then ordered 5 different tapas....and waited and waited and waited...for over 1 hour. We had by then ordered another bottle of wine as we had finished the first one as we waited. We still waited...and then asked the waitress what was heppening about our tapas. She rather uninterestedly indicated we needed to speak to her fellow colleague. We asked her to speak to him. He came to us and we indicated we'd been waiting a long time for our tapas dishes. He did not apologise(!!!! Whatever happened to customer is always right) but repeatedly gave weak excuses about he how busy they had been. Not our problem we said! Still no apology! At that moment the food arrived! At 8.45pm! We said we no longer wanted it. We then paid for the soup and wine only, went directly to the restaurant next door....La Plaza, ordered food and within 10 minutes we were brought our delicious food and were very satisfied. Feeble excuses dont chamge things....other people who arrived after we had were served, ate, paid and had left whilst we waited. My advice, as a bisiness women myself, to El Bellotero owner, manager and staff would be to learn to apologise, to understand that every customer is as valuable as the next, thay reputation and consistemcy is all, and to improve on their customer service dramatically. I await their response to this review...
Read moreAs soon as we arrived a waitress came to take our drinks order, we ordered a 1L sangria but it didn’t really look like one, more like a half of it. Then a waiter came to take our order and told us it’ll be the last order so he couldn’t do starters/mains, all at the same time (the time was 10pm, while they seat down other tables until 11pm). The food took ages, like 40 mins probably. The inside of the croquetas was frozen which I was shocked! The portion of calamares was just ridiculously small for the price of it. Our mains were big but the cooking temperature was not correct and most of the meat was just dry unfortunately. Garlic prawns were amazing! We sat outside and the mood was cozy and calm...
Read moreService, was awful. Waited almost 20mins to be served and a further 20mins to get starters (just garlic bread for the children). It was tolerable as the elder children were playing in the square. Then the mains came whilst we were completing our starters. Instead of waiting or asking they then proceeded to move things around the table and put the mains in the middle. When the waiter returned I asked him to take the starters so we had room, he ignored me and everything was collected when we finished the mains. We declined desert and asked for the bill. After asking 3 times I just went in and paid. Will not be going back, which is disappointing as the food was...
