Kiosks 5 & 6 and the surrounding beach areas are the best gay holiday destinations my husband and I have ever been to and we have the best time every single time we come here but.... I remove one star from the five, knocking it down to four because there are far too many straight couples, groups of girls and families who come and settle down right in the middle of the gay area which kind of ruins the atmosphere in the enjoyment of being in a totally gay environment. The whole point of this environment is so that gay people have a totally gay area where they can completely relax and feel totally unjudged and safe and enjoy looking around at all the other like-minded people. Straight people have the entire world at their fingertips they have the luxury and the privilege of being able to choose any beach in any country in any location and they can go and do what they want! Gays do NOT have that luxury or privilege anywhere else in the world, we have prejudice, hatred and violence against us and at the very least we get homophobic disgusted looks and disapproving snears! Gays have so very very few places in this entire world where we can feel safe and comfortable and enjoy our lives and we are forced pay literally hundreds of pounds of hard earned money whilst struggling to get by in this crazy world and we have to travel literally thousands of miles to be here so as innocent as it may seem it is an imposition and invasion of our privacy, comfort and enjoyment of our favourite place in the world! Acceptance is wonderful yes I agree but there is a straight area literally a few hundred feet away and yet people still come and sit right in the middle of the gay area. We absolutely love that you love us and don't hate us and thank you for your support and your kindness if that's what your gesture is but I'm sure most of us would prefer if the space was left for just us and you can walk by with a smile and a wave of appreciation if you wish.
Also smokers, seriously, think about who is downwind of you while you're breathing your stinking toxic smoke in their faces. Just don't smoke near other people!
Let's all respect eachother and all have the very best time of our lives. Life's short so live, love, laugh and most importantly live and...
Read moreKiosco Beach Nº5 is not your average beach bar—it’s a vibrant little oasis where the ocean view is only part of the charm. Yes, it’s a gay-friendly spot with plenty of men around, but it’s far from exclusive: you’ll see couples, groups of friends, and women enjoying the same relaxed vibe. Whatever your sexuality, you’ll feel welcome here. Speaking as a straight guy, I never once felt out of place—just part of the fun.
The beach itself is clothing-optional, so yes, you’ll see plenty of naturists… but also plenty of people in swimsuits. The upside? Very few, if any, children. That means no screaming, no sandcastle territorial disputes—just the sound of waves, music from the bar, and the occasional clink of ice in a cocktail glass.
Speaking of the bar, it’s fantastic: friendly staff, refreshing drinks, and tasty snacks. You can also rent hammocks by the day or half-day, which is as close as you’ll get to a VIP lounge in the sand.
Getting here is part of the experience: it’s an easy walk, but expect at least 20–30 minutes from either the lighthouse, the English beach, or across the Maspalomas dunes. Trust me, the journey is worth it.
The atmosphere is light and cheerful, with music setting the tone for an all-day hangout. Whether you’re here for the sun, the social vibe, or just a quiet day by the sea without the noise of kids, Kiosco Nº5 delivers. Highly...
Read moreAbsolutely loved my time at Kiosk 5 on Maspalomas gay beach! The vibe here is amazing — super relaxed, friendly, and inclusive. It’s a semi-nude beach with a strong presence of gay men, and the kiosk itself is proudly decorated with rainbow flags and colors, which instantly made me feel safe and welcomed.
As a trans person, I didn’t feel out of place for a second. Everyone was respectful, easygoing, and just there to enjoy the sun and good company. The music adds a fun energy to the place, and you’ll always hear something upbeat playing in the background. You can grab a drink (alcoholic or not) and snacks at the kiosk, which is super convenient.
One downside: the toilets can’t be locked, and unfortunately, a lot of people just go behind the kiosk into the dunes, which isn't ideal — definitely avoid walking that way.
That said, the overall atmosphere is full of good vibes and freedom. If you're queer and visiting Maspalomas, this...
