Dunas de Maspalomas is a hidden gem in the heart of Gran Canaria. As soon as you set foot in this pristine desert landscape, you’ll be captivated by the sheer beauty of its golden sand dunes. It’s a place where nature’s artwork takes center stage.

The dunes stretch as far as the eye can see, creating a mesmerizing and serene environment. It’s perfect for a leisurely walk, and the shifting sands provide a sense of tranquility and wonder. The uninterrupted views of the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the distant mountains on the other are simply breathtaking.

The natural beauty of Dunas de Maspalomas is enhanced by the abundant birdlife and flora that call this place home. If you’re a nature enthusiast, don’t forget your binoculars, as you’ll spot a variety of bird species along the way.

Sunsets here are nothing short of magical. The warm, golden hues of the setting sun against the dunes create a scene straight out of a postcard. It’s the perfect spot for a romantic evening or some quiet self-reflection.

While the dunes are the main attraction, the nearby Maspalomas lighthouse adds a touch of history and culture to the experience. You can take a stroll to the lighthouse and enjoy the panoramic views from its vantage point.

Just a word of caution: please remember to respect the environment. These dunes are a fragile ecosystem, so be sure to stick to designated paths and refrain from leaving any litter behind.

In conclusion, Dunas de Maspalomas is a must-visit for anyone exploring Gran Canaria. It’s a natural wonder that leaves a lasting impression and offers a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether you’re a nature lover, a photographer, or simply seeking tranquility, you’ll find it all in this stunning...

Ah, the Dunes of Maspalomas – a natural wonderland surrounded by a sea of humanity. The dunes, like misunderstood celebrities, stand proudly, overshadowed by the swarm of camera-touting tourists. It's a spectacle where Mother Nature plays second fiddle to the real stars of the show: the sunburned Brits, the meticulously organized Germans, the perpetually confused Americans, and the effortlessly cool Nordics.

You can practically hear the dunes whispering, "Please, let us have a moment of sand solitude!" But no, the human tide is relentless, armed with selfie sticks and an unquenchable thirst for Instagram fame.

As you navigate this sandy circus, it becomes evident that the dunes are the true VIPs, patiently enduring the invasion of sun-worshipping tribes. It's like a nature reserve for the common tourist, where the only endangered species is the concept of solitude.

But, dear visitor, fear not – amidst the parade of sun hats and the symphony of "I left the sunscreen in the hotel" regrets, the dunes stand tall, their majestic beauty competing with the dazzling display of designer sunglasses and beachwear. So, if you fancy a day in the desert surrounded by the epitome of mainstream tourism, the Dunes of Maspalomas await, where the sand might be golden, but the real gems are the sun-soaked,...

It’s all about angles and teamwork 😆💪🏻 The Maspalomas sand dunes located in the south of Gran Canaria constitute a beautiful and unique protected Nature Reserve space since 1987 and a popular tourist attraction In the past you were allowed to walk on the sand but after the lockdown, the authorities have announced that the general aspect of the dunes had improved due to the absence of people, so it was decided that they will rope off the area and only allow people to walk on designated trails off the dunes to guarantee their protection. Unfortunately many people don’t know or don’t follow the rules and we saw a lot walking on them 😞 But no need to break the rules to get a nice pic, just need to get creative, I saw this low perspective and with the help of my ladies 👯‍♀️ 💪🏻 we were able to get some nice angles, what do you think of the result 😃 Wearing @aya_sacredwear Thanks to the girls team work @theblondeflamingo @binnysfoodandtravel @kseniia.journey @joujoutravels @sabrina_chakici . . . #grancanaria #igvsreality #photographytips #instagramvsreality #maspalomas #maspalomasdunes #spain #sanddunes #whattodoingrancanaria Visit Gran Canaria, things to do in Gran Canaria, Maspalomas sand dunes, Ig vs reality, photography tips

Been there, dune that 😆. Very fitting that I use a dad joke as a caption today. Today is not Father’s Day in Australia but to those who celebrate it, I hope you spoilt your dad. To those finding it tough, I am thinking of you 💕 ————————- Filmed at @seasidepalmbeach which is right next to Dunas de Maspalomas. A 400 hectare nature reserve, the best time to go is during sunrise and sunset where the light reflects the sand providing a warm glow 🥰 <Press stay>. 📸: @dennesychicken —————————— #canaryisland #ilovecanarias #welivetoexplore #traveldreamseekers #passiontotravel #naturereels #travelmoods #topeuropephoto #topeurophoto #transitionreels #trendingtransition #iamtb #sheisnotlost #luxuryhotelsworld #wearetravelgirls #roamtheworld #luxurytravel #girlpowertravel #thetraveltribe #journeysofgirls #girlsthatwander #damestravel #femmetravel #damestravel #worldofwanderlust
