YAN Restaurante Oriental — Restaurant in San Miguel de Abona

To be absolutely avoided!! We went there because of all the good reviews, but honestly I dont understand how this restaurant could have such reviews. The only edible thing from what we ordered was water. We had Pad Thai with chicken and Udon noodles with chicken. Pad Thai was horrible but my partner was able to eat at least half of it. When it comes to my udon noodles, it was definitely the worst dish I have ever had in a Chinese restaurant and the worst as dish as far as I can remember. It gave impression that the cooks had no idea how to prepare them, put noodles, some random sauce and some veggies. Absolutely disgusting unfortunately- refer to photos. After few bites I stopped eating because I prefer not to risk the food poisoning, which I really hope wont happen. We asked for the bill and they still charged us the full amount, even though I returned them the whole meal minus three bites. After we questioned that they gave us a super small discount…the waitress was nice and I know it is not her fault, but in this restaurant they should seriously reconsider at least these dishes and improve the overall quality. We will never come again and I strongly advise to avoid this place. I really dont understand the other reviews...

After driving through and noticing a new Oriental Restaurant. I decided to read the reviews out of curiosity. Curiosity got the better of me this evening, and we decided to try YAN Restaurante Oriental.

We had a choice of sitting outside on the terrace or inside the restaurant. We decided on sitting inside the restaurant which as 7 tables with air conditioning.

Service was smooth during the course of the evening and was never left neglected.

I've got to say it's one best Oriental meals I've had in a long time. We ordered numerous dishes off their menu with all being equally as good as each other.

I honestly don’t understand the other reviews of this place. We came here because of the many positive ratings, but it was a huge disappointment. We waited an extremely long time for our food, and when it finally arrived, it was so bad that none of us could finish our meals. I think it was the first time I’ve ever left some food at a restaurant.

The pad thai came without any eggs and had practically no vegetables - only carot and green pepper– it was bland and completely off. The Udon noodles were absolutely inedible. I genuinely wouldn’t recommend eating...
