Restaurante Doña Isabel — Restaurant in San Miguel de Salinas

Was on a recommendation from a client that we decided to try the Restaurant Dona Isabel, in San Miguel,

on Saturday the 6th of October 2018. There was 4 of us and we had booked a table for lunch at 1/30. The restaurant all thow in a back street wasn't to hard to find. Ones inside it was like stepping back in time. What a lovely surprise and atmosphere this restaurant has. We were setted straight away my a lovely young man, the menus were on the table and he was talking the drinks order within minutes. (WHAT GRATE SERVICE AND IT DID NOT STOP). 5/6 starters mains and sweets to choose from, with a bottle of wine for 2 and water(AT 12€ PER PERSON). The food was excellent. I had sume of the best baby squad I have ever eaten and my friends have said the same. We all had the rabbit for the main dish, it was fantastic. We all had a different sweet, I went for the rice pudding, although it was cold and no skin or strewberry jam on the top, yummy yum yum. With the rabbit and rice pudding, it reminded me of sitting with my Irish nan and family having dinner. The restaurant was very busy for a Saturday lunch time, so I recomed that you book. Iistning to the other people in the restaurant I think we were the only English people in their, all the rest were Spanish. (I THINK THAT TELLS YOU WHAT THIS MEANS??). What a lovely restaurant. Amazing value for good food and entertainment (background music). Been here a couple of times now, they do a set menu which is three courses along with bread, finely chopped tomatoes and aloli, also a small salad. First time visiting it cost €15 (March 2022) and €16 (September 2022) then a good choice for three further courses. Also includes a bottle of wine for two. Definitely book, as we did turn up once midday and it was full up. Always had good food there, apart from last dessert which was really just a bowl of custard... but everything...

The place is cozy and the menu for lunch is muy delicioso, while the price is very affordable 9.50 euro per pax. with dessert and a bottle of wine for two persons if you prefer not to have other beverages . We didn't know that we need to do a reservation as the place was quite full when we arrived but the owner graciously accomodated us. The service was fast and we truly enjoyed our meal. Definitely a must for anyone visiting San Miguel de Salinas. Highly...
