Mikel — Restaurant in San Sebastián

Whilst on holiday in Palma SpIn we visited Bar Mikel twice. The reason we went the second time was that the food was delicious and well priced. Dogs were allowed and the atmosphere most friendly. The service was excellent too.

However, we also visited on a Saturday evening for our second time and this time the waiter who attended to us the previous night was off. This left us with one of the owners serving us. He was the only server and this certainly had a detrimental affect on the service levels. We had to go twice to the bar to ask for drinks even though both the barman and owner were stood chatting behind the bar. It was great pity as this experience was a poor one. We didn’t visit again and decided to visit other restaurants further away from us due to this.

Al llegar al local, lo primero que llama la atención es el ambiente acogedor y la rapidez con la que te atienden. El aroma a pan recién hecho y la variedad de bocadillos en el menú te hacen pensar que vas a disfrutar de una buena experiencia. De entrada, el bocadillo de pollo al ajillo con queso fundido estaba espectacular: crujiente por fuera, jugoso por dentro.

Sin embargo, no todo fue perfecto. La segunda vez que fui, el servicio fue más lento y parecía que el personal estaba desorganizado. Además, uno de los bocadillos llegó algo frío y con menos ingredientes de los que suelen poner. Fue un bajón, sobre todo comparado con la primera visita.

Aun así, tengo que decir que le di otra oportunidad, y me alegro de haberlo hecho. Volví una semana después y todo volvió a estar como la primera vez: producto fresco, bocadillos bien cargados y una atención mucho más cuidada. Creo que simplemente tuvieron un mal día. Atención más que deseable, les he preguntado por volldamm y me dijo que no tenía , después de 4 amstel oro , pido para llevar una cerveza tostada y me sacan volldamm, que comparando el precio de 2,70 de la amstel oro , la volldamm , son 2,20 , no os dejéis estafar gente, una cosa es la venta , pero si ofrecen servicio lento y sobre todo da más que desear , cuando los empleados están más pendientes al chisme que otra cosa, entre ellos hablan de todo pero para atender al cliente lo que les apetece , disculpa pero YO al menos , no pienso volver , no sé de mis acompañantes ,...
