Although it has good panoramic views to the river, the overall service and price-quality relation is doubtful. It's definitely an overrated restaurant.
SERVICE: The first time we went there, we had arrive from a long journey and we had our 2 months old daughter with us. They didn't let us in because the kitchen had just closed. Before blocking us immediately, the waitress could at least ask the kitchen, her boss or suggested a quick meal that wouldn't bother the kitchen too much (the restaurant would still be opened 1h30 more...). Empathy ZERO! We have returned the day after and ironically enough it was the other way around. This time we've arrived at 12h50 and there was no one to receive us. After searching for someone, a very surprised waitress asked out loud to her boss if we could have a seat already...
FOOD: apart from the good local wine (although it was poorly served and not in front of us!) everything else was average or even mediocre. Can olives, non fresh bread, seafood paella with only 4 shrimps with burnt rice in the center. Also, there is only one price per paella. Since it seemed not expensive (19,90€), we've asked if it were individual portions. The answer was no; it was a normal paella. Imagine our surprise when in the end they charge us "2 seafood paellas"...
Never going back again... It's definitely a restaurant for turists that have no other place to go or that have never tried real food and service...
Read moreAn Unfortunate sour ending to a long awaited visit. Following a long absence, we recently revisited a restaurant we had once held in high regard. Our meal — a selection of seafood and meats — was a mixed experience: the seafood was excellent, but the meats were regrettably overcooked. Nevertheless, the overall quality and ambience were satisfactory and initially met our expectations. However, the experience was significantly marred by issues with the bill. Contrary to assumptions that such incidents only occur in less reputable establishments, even well-regarded restaurants like this one can fall short. We were initially overcharged by 30 euros. Upon raising the discrepancy, a second version of the bill was presented — this time with a 40 euro error. Only after a third inquiry was the bill corrected, reflecting the appropriate charge for two glasses of wine. It is difficult to believe that local patrons would be treated similarly. Visitors are advised to request an itemised bill and to verify all charges carefully to avoid any unfortunate surprises. It was a disappointing conclusion to a lunch we had so looked forward to, and it has regrettably altered our view of a once-beloved establishment. We will not be...
Read moreThis is a really nice place with a great view from the terrace. We tried 2 local beers, the mussels in sauce and the American burger. The beers were good, served nice and cold. The ambiance was also very nice and I already mentioned the view. The food on the other hand was not bad, but not amazing either. I asked for the burger to be medium and it was well done, but still pretty tasty. The mussels were a little fishier than others we tried in the area, i think this is because of the sauce, it was not very flavorful. All in all, we would come back to this place to try other dishes as well. Dinner for 2: beers, burger and mussels was €35. This is cheap for this restaurant, most of their seafood dishes are around £25 each. If you go for a lot of seafood, expect the check to be a lot more. Also, please note that unlike most of Spain, this area (al of Ebro Delta) does bot include IVA (Sales Tax) in the menu prices. Expect 21% extra on top of everything that you order. Feels like back home in the US, only the sales...
