Monkeys Burger Bar — Restaurant in Sant Joan Despí

Definitely one of the best burger places in the area! But before stepping into burger territory, I’d like to give a round of applause to those Mexican nachos! The chips themselves are the best I’ve ever eaten, so light and crunchy, with just the right amount of cheese. We had the King Kong burger. Quick advice: it’s very tough to eat, so make sure you’re really hungry. The meat is juicy and flavourful. I love the truffle notes, though in this case, I found them just a little bit overwhelming. We went out for dinner and the place is decorated very in theme with the jungle vibe and we overall had a good experience. Unfortunately during the time we were there, there were also some families with children that were running and yelling around and although it wasn’t the restaurants fault, it still was part of our experience. Una experiencia incómoda por parte del dueño

Fuimos a este restaurante en familia y nos asignaron una mesa para cinco personas, con cuatro sillas y un taburete. Mi marido, buscando estar más cómodo, tomó una silla vacía de una mesa cercana (en la que no había nadie) y la cambió por el taburete. En ese momento, el dueño se acercó con un tono poco educado y bastante autoritario para decirnos que ese cambio “no se podía hacer”, sin ofrecer ninguna explicación amable ni alternativa.

Cuando mi marido le respondió de forma respetuosa, simplemente preguntando si no tenía el mismo derecho a estar cómodo como cualquier otro cliente, el tono del dueño se volvió aún más desagradable. En ningún momento hubo diálogo, solo una actitud de “aquí se hace lo que yo digo”.

Al final, accedimos a devolver la silla y quedarnos con el taburete, pero la experiencia ya había quedado empañada por la mala educación y la falta de empatía del responsable del local. Una pena, porque un simple gesto amable hubiera cambiado completamente la situación. No volveremos. Actualización:

Ojalá puedan mejorar esos aspectos para futuros clientes.
