A Taste of Italy in Ibiza - perhaps the best!
Just back from the sidewalk outside Sant Jordi, Panevino Italian Delicatessen is a culinary gem that shines amidst the bustling main road between Sant Josep and Ibiza Town.
Despite the lack of parking and the challenge of navigating the busy side-streets, the effort put in finding this diminutive treasure is rewarded tenfold.
As you approach Panevino, the rustic charm of its sidewalk terrace, adorned with up-cycled furniture, and probably not even 10 tables, immediately welcomes you. Its homely, unpretentious exterior hints at the warm and cozy atmosphere that awaits you inside. With only three tables within the tiny interior, the place exudes an inviting intimacy, making you feel like you've stumbled upon a secret culinary haven.
Also known as "Dollys", after its amiable and charming owner, Panevino wraps you in an atmosphere that is reminiscent of a family gathering. The ambiance is personified by Dolly herself - it's like being greeted by your favorite cousin, eager to share with you the best of her kitchen's creations.
Panevino's menu, which changes daily, is an authentic Italian gastronomic adventure. Every dish is a testament to the diverse regional flavors of Italy, crafted with ingredients sourced from across the country. Contrasting its food menu, the drink list leans heavily towards Spanish wines, offering a satisfyingly reasonable selection for such a compact deli.
Staffing at Panevino is delightfully unhurried. It isn't about rushing you through your meal but encouraging you to savor every bite and relish the joy of dining. The eclectic clientele seems to echo this ethos, with many return visitors knowing the culinary privilege they've stumbled upon.
In terms of value for money, Panevino hits the mark perfectly. The quality of the food, the warmth of the service, and the unique ambiance all contribute to an experience that is worth every cent.
After nearly two decades on Ibiza, I can confidently say that Panevino Italian Delicatessen is the best Italian deli on the island. The fact that they offer a take-away service is just the cherry on top of an already delightful dining experience.
Panevino is not just a restaurant; it's a vibrant, gastronomic journey that brings the heart of Italy to Ibiza. So, next time you find yourself in Sant Jordi, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to Panevino. Your palate...

The place was absolutely crowded, i took my meal in a plate full of dust coming from upstairs in front of the waitress and she didn't said even a word about it, she have been simulating that nothing was happening there, the food was good, but just for the way the lady treated us, i wouldn't go back.
I went with a couple of friends waiting for a flight and we asked after one hour for our meals, in that moment this lady came to us and she told us, that you never had to go to this restaurant if you have to catch a flight, practically she said we were not in the right place to take a lunch after one hour waiting. Maybe she thought that we really deserve that kind of answer or maybe we had just to stand up and leave the place ... unfortunately we didn't do that.
Apart of the dust coming from no where to our plates ... This grumpy lady made us feel very...

When we came, no table. 30 min wait, not even an apology and she tried to blame us for her mistake.
Third time I came, always strange vibe....
