Restaurant Chimichurri — Restaurant in Sant Josep de sa Talaia

Although we arrived without a reservation on a busy Friday night the hostess was not unduly phased and seated us in the reception, inviting us to order drinks, while she organised a table for us. Within minutes we were lead through to a charming garden and offered a table under a vine clad arbour. There were groups of 8+ as well as couples and families all dining under the stars. The menu is firmly based around Argentinian beef, complemented by local lamb and fish. The first courses are varied and, be warned, enormous, the nachos could have easily served 2 and the Serrano ham with tomato bread 2 or 3, the quality was so good and the atmosphere so relaxed that we somehow managed. Main courses of fillet and lamb chops equally good, no room for dessert but the coffee was an excellent way to finish. Service is professional and efficient without being rushed staff switching easily into English as required. I love everything about this place ! You wouldn’t imagine by looking at it from outside! Winter time amazing by the fireplace and in the summer by the garden ! They have Beyond Burger now which is the perfect vegan option! Is a great place for meat eaters, my friends say that is probably the best cut from the island. This place can be hit & miss. Lovly gardens to eat in, the food can be very good but almost times knocked up. The idea of a mixed grill you cook yourself would work but it never stays hot enough, I've given it the benefit and ordered more than once..it was a shame the staff obviously were distracted & nit very attentive on my last visit.
