Caburé Gastrobar — Restaurant in Sant Pere de Ribes

This is a "Must go to place" for any foodie that fi ds themselves in this area. As much as it is a hidden gem and could easily be mistaken for a private house, what lies within is like stepping into the wardrobe in the world of "Narnia". I had the menu de l dia for 14€.For starters I had the fresh, succulent mussels. This was paired with the aromatic Castilla house Red wine with some bread and olives on the side. After that I had the Bacalao with the alioli (oven dish), with zuchinni and baked potato with sugar snaps and carrot pieces. Needless to say, the chef did not disappoint. I could not resist asking for a piece of Tarta de Sacher, which was the best I had ever tasted in my life! This alongside a cup of coffee and a tot of muscatel was enough to guarantee a short siesta up ahead. The photos do not do any justice to how romantic, rustic and cosy this place is. I look forward to going there at night with friends or in summer to sit on the terrace. Highly recommended it. Would have given 5 stars but needed the fireplace next to me to be lit to complete the perfect experience. As it us a masia in winter, it's a tad bit nippy if you don't have the fireplaces going. Nestled in a village style area outside Sitges you’ll find chef Oscar & brilliant team serving you an amazing tasting menu (highly recommend & exceptional value) all paired with beautiful Spanish wine. On our second trip, on the same holiday, we ordered a la carte & the team made us feel like vip guests. Este restaurante es una falta de respeto a la gastronomía española!!! nos hemos dejado llevar por los comentarios de Google y tripadvisor y no podemos creerlo porque no tenían nada que ver con la terrible experiencia que tuvimos. Pedimos de entrada una ensalada de burrata y lo primero que notamos es que el queso era industrial, mi padre y mi esposo han pedido el bacalao de la casa y yo una lubina simple a la plancha para compartir con mi bebé de 21 meses. Lo primero fue que trajeron los dos bacalaos y nos dejaron esperando como 10 minutos más por la lubina. El bacalao estaba sin sabor y con una textura que mostraba que no era fresco, las papas y vegetales de guarnición estaban duras y grasosas. Mi lubina llegó cruda en primer lugar y se la llevaron para terminar de cocinarla, por lo que mi esposo y mi padre comenzaron a comer para que sus platos no se enfriaran. Cuando trajeron la lubina nuevamente, estaba dura y chiclosa y las verduras igual que las del bacalao, duras, las papas quemadas por fuera y duras por dentro. Mi plato no estaba comestible. El vino recomendado sin cuerpo ni sabor. Que tragedia vivir una cena tan desagradable y ni siquiera comimos todos al mismo tiempo. Mi esposo sabe cocinar y presentar unos platos así en un restaurante es simplemente inaceptable. El restaurante estaba vacío y no tienen excusa de que había mucha gente para servir, apenas habían 3 mesas más con 2 personas cada una. No vayan! Es un robo! Mejor ir a comer a...
