Authentic Spanish Cuisine and Unforgettable Experience

Kerbside, in Ca Na Negreta, Sa Barda may not immediately catch your eye as you drive by. But venture into the spacious dustbowl carpark at the rear, and you'll find yourself at the entrance of a dining haven that's sure to leave a lasting impression.

Stepping inside, you'll be greeted by an expansive interior, adorned with traditional Ibicenc chairs and tables. The space seamlessly combines a rustic aesthetic with modern comforts, featuring bare stone walls and a stunning Savina pine roof. In the warmer months, Sa Barda's outdoor covered terrace opens up, offering a perfect spot for al fresco dining.

At its heart, Sa Barda is a family-run establishment, with the husband commanding front of house and the wife as the senior chef. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, reminiscent of a workers café – in fact, 99.9% of the clientele are Spanish locals, making it a rare and authentic experience for visitors. The eatery bustles with activity, especially during late breakfast and lunch hours.

Sa Barda's culinary offerings are a delightful showcase of traditional Spanish cuisine, featuring an extensive menu with a daily "Menu del Día" for lunch. The tapas selections are a must-try, with standouts including supremely thinly sliced steak, perfectly battered calamari, succulent cod chunks, and tender chicken breast strips in garlic. The Frito de Cerdo and Sepia are also worthy of high praise. In all the years of visiting and indulging, not once has there been a disappointing meal.

The drink list doesn't disappoint either, with a great range of coffees, wines, beers, spirits, and soft drinks to cater to all tastes. The Café BonBon is a personal favorite and highly recommended.

The warmth and attentiveness of the staff only adds to the charm of this hidden gem.

As a cash-only establishment, Sa Barda offers exceptional value for money, without compromising on quality or experience. If you're seeking an authentic Spanish meal in a cozy and friendly atmosphere, Sa Barda should be at the top of your list. Just be prepared for the pleasant surprise of possibly being the only English speaker in this...

Full of locals, what other proof do you need that a place is great? We had tapas and a ton of bocadillos as well as a few drinks, and the prices were very reasonable. Service with a soul and attitude. It was a perfect place for our first night...

Food are nice with good value (about 10 -16 to eat here). The place is nice to be with the family, but I disagree the behaviour of the manager, it's not professional and personally I wouldn't come more for that, at side that waiters did well.
