Surprisingly empty for a Saturday night in August however better for us as we had a lovely table. The food here was average food in an above average location. We chose the Paella which was pretty standard. Our son had chicken breast & chips, he was happy. We drank a nice Godella, good temperature. The waitress was friendly, the location stunning. My issue came at the time of the bill, it appears the menu is priced without VAT/ IVA. When the bill came it wasn’t what we had calculated so we added it up again. I asked the gentleman in the bar why the tax wasn’t added in the menu, he said it’s always like that in Ibiza. Firstly that’s not true, I live in Ibiza & have a small cafe/ bar. That is nonsense. He said that this was written at the bottom of the menu & sure enough in small print it said taxes not included. He kept insisting that this is standard in Ibiza which leads me to believe that this is the rhetoric he uses to con tourists who also question the bill. Let’s be clear, what the restaurant wins before tax is their business, what the client pays is what should be written on the menu, doing this is just a way to capture unsuspecting guests to pay an extra 10%. Never in 25 years in Ibiza have I seen a menu without tax on it, it’s simply a way to con the unsuspecting one timers out of more money, it’s cheap & deceptive. By the way check the menu photos of other guests over the years, the tax was included so they know the price & for sure there were no complaints, they should have kept it as they had it in the “Old Ibiza” style. I genuinely understand the challenges of costing a menu in Ibiza. It is an expensive Island to have a business particularly a food business. However there’s no need to invent ways to capture the bit extra that you need to make it viable, just charge it clearly to the client & they’ll pay it. Unfortunately this left a bitter taste in our mouths. I gave 3 stars for the wine, the service & the...

I had never experienced something like this before . We also saw the waiter being rude to another couple next to us too . We explained the situation about why we were leaving to the people a the entrance before leaving and they didn’t seem to care . We asked if the owner was around , they said he wasn’t and asked for put waiters name , we were told his...
