Service is poor! Staff are lacklustre and nonchalant to the point of being quite rude. We waited 10 minutes at the entrance (as suggested by the sign) for a table of two. There were free tables and 4 waitresses- but we obviously obeyed the instructions to 'wait to be seated'. A waitress took the 1 couple in front of us- but never even acknowledged us until after another 5 mins- we approached the waitress to ask for a table. She gave us a choice of 2 tables- but then left us and we waited another 15 minutes (despite asking another 2 waitresses if we could have a menu and order drinks and food.) We would have got up and walked out- but it was late and we really fancied the hot dogs - and the band playing gave a good atmosphere. During this time- the waitress was letting other people in and showing them to tables- but we and the other couple had not yet been even spoken to?? It was busy- but there seemed to be no system or organisation? Eventually we managed to 'flag down' the waitress and our order was taken. When the New Yorker hot dogs and fries arrived - they were decent- but we had to ask for cutlery and condiments. Afterwards- no one came to take our plates; ask if we wanted more drinks, ask if we wanted a dessert or ask if we wanted the bill. Again we waited another 20 mins while the 4 waitresses all seemed to have disappeared into the bar at the back? We could have got up and walked off but we again had to get up and go and find a waitress to ask for the bill. I politely explained that we were disappointed with the service....but she simply shrugged her shoulders and didn't seem to care?? At no point during our time at this diner did any member of staff approach us and ask if we wanted anything. So- if you can find a decent hotdogs and live music elsewhere- avoid this place and the...
Read moreEven in February, a pleasant place to sit outside and enjoy a cold beer. An ok service from staff. Update. Aug 19. Now very busy, as you would expect! Some great groups on, pulling in the tourists. However,, having had a drink spilt over me, without so much as an apology. Twice being asked to move, to allow others to sit, where I was 'invited' to sit (after standing at the entrance for 10 mins). I'm not too sure that come September, October & the following months, my/ our custom may be tempted to go elsewhere, through the 'leaner' trading months. Update 02;09:19 Outside seating almost empty now it's Sept, but still waited 48 mins for another round of drinks and to order some food. Gave up and went to bar myself. Almost 15 min wait there (no queue though). So settled bill and left. Good luck through the quieter months, because we shall not be visiting! Hence due to last couple of visits. 1 star 07.09.19.Ok, so I went against my best judgement and went back. We queued at the bar for drinks as we couldn't get service at a table! The singer told some people enjoying themselves dancing, to "f*kg sit down" We did have our next round of drinks bought to our table, with the bill. We paid. The waiter returned, and had short changed us. So if this is a venue, you like, check your bill and change ! And be aware of potentially bad language...
Read moreWe arrived for dinner and sat down. A group of 9 with 3 menus to share. A server took our drink order and another server took our food order. The inside of the bar area looks messy and dark and dusty. It looks like a storage room. Kinda weird. Food was a long wait even though 2 weren't eating, we had 2 chicken Caesars (very small and not enough dressing) we asked for more dressing for one and was charged €1, chicken tenders were cut so small the chicken was dry and had that grainy feel too it, the ribs and wings and burger was decent. For the amount of food we got I felt it was a long wait as everyone around us was finishing up theirs so the kitchen should not have been that busy. The service was meh the staff were more interested in dancing to the loud music and talking in their headsets to eachother. All kids are between 10-16 and they all said they wouldn't go back. Too bad as it's a great location but food and service need to improve before...
