We have dined here twice over the last 3 weeks. Once with all the family - 12 of us. We rang ahead to book, to alert them that we were 12. Last Tuesday we dined again with friends just 4 of us. Both times there were various items on the menu that were not available. The first time we went there it appeared that the Chef was not there and our waitress Maria apparently had to do the cooking ! Consequently the food took for ever to be served ! The pork chop arrived after we had been there a hour and a half after we had ordered. It was served with one tomato !! And was very tough. There was only 1 bottle of Rosado wine in the restaurant!! We ordered the hummus which turned up at the table when we had all finished our meals. In short the whole experience was an unmitigated disaster. The waitress/cook Maria was extremely apologetic. I understand that there is a restaurant manager but she was not there. The night after our visit there was a fire in the kitchen and the fire brigade had to attend ! We decided to give the restaurant a second chance. We visited with two friends - so 4 people. There was one other table of six eating that evening. This time having taken our order we were then informed 30 minutes later that 2 people’s Baccalo was not available because it is very difficult to get fish in Santa Pola!!! My husband decided he did not want to reorder anything and our friend decided to reorder Chicken. They did supply whitebait on the house for my husband but he said he didn’t want it. At the end of a very disappointing meal we asked for the bill. The staff then produced 2 deserts on the house of which we didn’t accept. When the bill came we had been charged for 1 bacalao meal which we had not had because the restaurant did not have any (as previously stated) They rectified the bill. Again on this visit there was no sign of the Manager !? Our waitress Maria was once again very apologetic. Unfortunately we will not be going back to your restaurant until there is a dramatic improvement. It is a great sadness as having owned a house in Santa Pola Del Este for over 30 years we were looking forward to a new restaurant. We have always supported the restaurants...
Read moreFrom the moment we arrived, this restaurant impressed us with its warm ambiance and attentive staff—but what truly elevated the experience was the impeccable service from our waiter, Adrian. He was not only knowledgeable and professional but also genuinely welcoming, offering thoughtful recommendations and ensuring every detail of our evening was just right.
We started with the scallops, which were perfectly seared—delicate, buttery, and complemented by a light, flavorful sauce that didn’t overpower the natural sweetness of the shellfish. The grilled octopus was equally outstanding: tender with just the right char, served with a bright, citrusy accompaniment that brought the dish to life.
For the main course, the T-bone steak was a showstopper. Cooked exactly to our preference, it was juicy, rich, and seasoned to perfection—every bite was a reminder of how a great cut of meat should be treated.
Adrian’s timing, knowledge of the menu, and genuine enthusiasm made the meal feel personal and special. He checked in just enough without being intrusive, and his recommendations were spot-on.
This place is a gem, and whether you're coming for a special occasion or simply to treat yourself, both the food and service are worth every moment. We’ll definitely be returning—especially if...
Read moreWe dines her a few times last week and the food was always good. We tried a few different options with the steak, including the stone where you finish the steak for yourself, which the kids loved. We also tried chicken paella, which we enjoyed and our friends really enjoyed the fish paella. The service was great and very friendly. It was obviously a little quiet due to the time.
The only slight negative is that there was not a lot in the way of small plates or tapas, so it kind of felt like a full meal or nothing.
We'll...
